El cristiano devoto se sorprende ante toda la ense\u00f1anza de los bautistas sobre el bautismo. Te lo explicaremos en tres art\u00edculos. Dedicaremos este primer art\u00edculo a refutar sus afirmaciones que distorsionan el sacramento del bautismo. Esperamos responder, en un art\u00edculo de seguimiento, a su rechazo del bautismo infantil y aclarar, en un tercer art\u00edculo, la conexi\u00f3n entre la renovaci\u00f3n de los creyentes y el sacramento del bautismo.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Los bautistas atribuyen al Nuevo Testamento que \u201cense\u00f1a mucho acerca de la salvaci\u00f3n aparte del bautismo\u201d, que \u201crepresenta simb\u00f3licamente la salvaci\u00f3n\u201d y \u201cde ninguna manera la causa\u201d (Herschel Hobbs, Baptist Doctrine and Message, p\u00e1gs. 135 y 138; J. M. Carroll, Historia de las Iglesias de la Iglesia Bautista, p\u00e1gina 32). Usan la palabra \u201cordenado\u201d para describir el bautismo, evitando que sea un sacramento de la iglesia. Consideran que s\u00f3lo est\u00e1 permitido aceptarlo \u201caquellos que se han entregado conscientemente a Cristo\u201d, a trav\u00e9s del \u201ccamino del arrepentimiento\u201d y de la \u201cfe personal en \u00c9l\u201d. En su opini\u00f3n, el bautismo, seg\u00fan las ense\u00f1anzas de las Escrituras, \u201csigue al arrepentimiento\u201d (Herschel Hobbs, M.N., p\u00e1gs. 133, 138, 139; Finley M. Graham, Systematic Theology, p\u00e1g. 205; The Biblical Position, n\u00fam. 7; Robert A. Baker, Biograf\u00edas de los bautistas en la historia, p\u00e1gina 17). Si nos detenemos, al leer sus referencias, en el libro \u201cBaker\u201d, que mencionamos aqu\u00ed, vemos que distorsiona la verdad, al afirmar que el bautismo, en secreto, entr\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de los primeros escritores cristianos que estaban influenciados por \u201csu entorno pagano\u201d. y su entorno filos\u00f3fico\u201d, como \u201cescribi\u00f3 el m\u00e1rtir Justino, el fil\u00f3sofo convertido. Para el cristiano, que vivi\u00f3 a mediados del siglo II, el bautismo completa la salvaci\u00f3n. Ireneo, uno de sus contempor\u00e1neos posteriores, decidi\u00f3 que el bautismo es un nuevo nacimiento y que produce renovaci\u00f3n. As\u00ed, al bautismo se le atribu\u00eda poder m\u00e1gico\u201d (p\u00e1ginas 25 y 33). Aunque reconocen que el bautismo \u201crepresenta la muerte, sepultura y resurrecci\u00f3n de nuestro Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas (1 Corintios 15:3 y 4)\u201d; \u201cLa muerte del creyente por el pecado, su sepultura con Cristo y su resurrecci\u00f3n para una vida nueva (Romanos 6: 3-6)\u201d, pero se niegan a considerarlo el nuevo nacimiento. Insisten en hacerlo por inmersi\u00f3n (1)<\/a>\u201cLa iglesia local\u201d es la \u00fanica responsable de esta pr\u00e1ctica. No aceptan el bautismo realizado por otra iglesia excepto bajo condiciones, que incluyen: que esta iglesia solo practique la inmersi\u00f3n y que su doctrina est\u00e9 de acuerdo con la doctrina b\u00edblica del bautismo (Finley M. Graham, Systematic Theology, p\u00e1gs. 297-300; J. M. Carroll , Historia de las Iglesias Bautistas, p\u00e1gina 18; Awad Samaan, Priesthood, p\u00e1ginas 358-367). Pero, de hecho, rebautizan a todos los que se les unen.<\/p>\n

Las irregularidades aparecen abundantemente en estos pasajes, o ideas, tomadas de los escritos de los bautistas. Dijeron lo que dijeron no s\u00f3lo porque rechazaron el bautismo infantil, sino tambi\u00e9n porque negaron la obra de la gracia en los sacramentos. Si leemos atentamente sus ense\u00f1anzas, podemos notar dos cosas b\u00e1sicas con respecto a esta negaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

La primera es que considerar el bautismo como un s\u00edmbolo hace irreal la salvaci\u00f3n del hombre por parte de Dios y ilusoria su renovaci\u00f3n. En este contexto, no revisaremos vers\u00edculos que refuten sus argumentos. Lo que usan sin sentido es nuestro apoyo en nuestra respuesta. \u00bfQu\u00e9 significa que el creyente, a trav\u00e9s de su bautismo, participa de la muerte y resurrecci\u00f3n de Cristo, y es simb\u00f3licamente salvo, o simb\u00f3licamente renovado? Arif no ignora que la palabra \u201cs\u00edmbolo\u201d no apareci\u00f3 en el Nuevo Testamento para describir el bautismo y los efectos de los sacramentos en su conjunto. \u00a1Dicen que conf\u00edan en sus libros! Pero, de hecho, proyectan sobre \u00e9l ideas preconcebidas, o lo que creen que es correcto. Esto no corresponde a la palabra de Aquel que nos redimi\u00f3 con su muerte y resurrecci\u00f3n, y nos abri\u00f3 el camino de la verdadera renovaci\u00f3n al aceptar su redenci\u00f3n por el Esp\u00edritu Santo, que gu\u00eda los misterios de la Iglesia, nos une y nos reaviva. con sus gracias (1 Corintios 12:12-14; Efesios 4:4-6).<\/p>\n

Lo segundo es que repitan el bautismo de los cristianos que se suman a sus filas. Esta es una clara contradicci\u00f3n con la herencia cristiana. Si el bautismo es participaci\u00f3n en la muerte y resurrecci\u00f3n de Cristo (Romanos 6:3 y 4; Colosenses 2:12), y Cristo muri\u00f3 una vez y resucit\u00f3 para siempre, entonces \u00bfc\u00f3mo pueden aceptar que una persona muera dos veces con Cristo y resucite? \u00bfdos veces? \u00bfNo es esto una violaci\u00f3n de lo establecido en la Constituci\u00f3n de la Fe (y un bautismo para el perd\u00f3n de los pecados), que los bautistas afirman reconocer como la validez de su ense\u00f1anza? Y contradice la base adoptada por los padres cuando escribieron la ense\u00f1anza sobre el bautismo, es decir, lo que dijo el Ap\u00f3stol: \u201cY hay un Se\u00f1or, una fe y un bautismo\u201d (Efesios 4,5). Y si quisieran imitar a la Santa Iglesia, que restablec\u00eda el bautismo de los herejes e imped\u00eda que sus creyentes recibieran el bautismo de manos de los herejes (ver: El Primer Concilio Ecum\u00e9nico, Ley 19; El Concilio de Latakia, Siglo IV, Ley 8; El Segundo Concilio Ecum\u00e9nico, Ley 7; El Concilio de Trullo, Ley 95; Leyes de los Ap\u00f3stoles, Leyes 47 y 68...), por lo que hay una diferencia entre ellas y ellos. Pero si s\u00f3lo reconocen el bautismo que realizan, \u00a1dejamos que el lector lo juzgue!<\/p>\n

Entonces, quien lee las ense\u00f1anzas de los Bautistas no duda de que su rechazo de los efectos del bautismo se basa no s\u00f3lo en su lectura incorrecta de los Libros Sagrados, sino tambi\u00e9n en los pecados que afectan a algunos despu\u00e9s de recibir el sacramento. Esto es rechazado por nuestra herencia, que se neg\u00f3 a condenar a nadie m\u00e1s. Es rechazado por la sana ense\u00f1anza que acompa\u00f1aba a los santos secretos en explicaci\u00f3n y clarificaci\u00f3n. Se sabe que la herej\u00eda de los gn\u00f3sticos, que se difundi\u00f3 ampliamente en el siglo II, adopt\u00f3 este mismo argumento para criticar el sacramento del bautismo. Esto fue respondido en su momento por el erudito Tertuliano (155-225), quien respondi\u00f3 al gn\u00f3stico Cantela, que se burlaba del bautismo por el mismo motivo mencionado, diciendo: \u201cPero nosotros, los pececitos, que tomamos nuestro nombre de Jesucristo , nacemos en el agua, y no somos salvos si no permanecemos en ella\u201d (Sobre el bautismo, cap\u00edtulo primero). El hecho de que algunos cristianos cometan errores despu\u00e9s de recibir el sacramento del bautismo no permite criticar el sacramento. Esta es la misma magia. Los bautistas son magos si creen que el bautismo preserva a quien lo recibi\u00f3 sin su sincera voluntad.<\/p>\n

Queda por aclarar su afirmaci\u00f3n: la fe personal en Cristo y el arrepentimiento vienen antes del bautismo. Esto es v\u00e1lido si la persona que busca el bautismo es mayor de edad. En la iglesia primitiva, a un adulto que estaba a punto de recibir el bautismo le preguntaron: \u00bfQu\u00e9 quieres de la iglesia? \u00c9l responde: Fe. Pero no es v\u00e1lido si el dependiente es un ni\u00f1o. El bautismo infantil se basa en la salvaci\u00f3n de Dios, que \u00c9l concedi\u00f3, gratuitamente, a todas las personas, ya sean j\u00f3venes o mayores.
