Su padre, que se llamaba Di\u00f3scoro, era un pagano muy rico y ardiente que odiaba y despreciaba a los cristianos. En cuanto a su madre, ella muri\u00f3 cuando ella era una ni\u00f1a. hija \u00fanica, muy hermosa e inteligente, por lo que su padre temi\u00f3 por ella y le construy\u00f3 un palacio alto. Puso en \u00e9l toda clase de alegr\u00edas para que no fuera como una prisi\u00f3n para ella donde vivir. Aquel que cre\u00f3 los cielos, la tierra y las estrellas, e hizo crecer las flores del campo...etc.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces comenz\u00f3 a buscar a alguien que le explicara los secretos de la divinidad, y entre sus sirvientes hab\u00eda cristianos. Uno de ellos le habl\u00f3 de la religi\u00f3n cristiana, la present\u00f3 y le explic\u00f3 la Santa Biblia, la encarnaci\u00f3n de Cristo. y su redenci\u00f3n de la humanidad, y la virginidad de la Virgen Mar\u00eda y la hermosura de la virginidad, as\u00ed ella crey\u00f3, fue bautizada, y recibi\u00f3 el cuerpo del Se\u00f1or Jesucristo y su preciosa sangre, y desde entonces la dedic\u00f3. virginidad al Se\u00f1or, siguiendo el ejemplo de la Virgen.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Esto sucedi\u00f3 sin que su padre lo supiera, y ella recibi\u00f3 muchas cartas de familias numerosas y ricas, y ella las rechaz\u00f3, finalmente le dijo a su padre que no quer\u00eda casarse porque se hab\u00eda hecho cristiana y se dedicaba a la vida.
