\"Santa <\/p>\n

Santa Tecla nacque nella citt\u00e0 di Iconio (Asia Minore - T\u00fcrkiye), da genitori pagani. . Era bella, intelligente e molto istruita e non appena comp\u00ec diciotto anni i suoi genitori la fidanzarono con un giovane di nome Tamiris. Ma lei non si spos\u00f2 perch\u00e9 l'apostolo Paolo pass\u00f2 con Barnaba nella citt\u00e0 di Iconio predicando il Vangelo, perci\u00f2 credette in Cristo Ges\u00f9 come Salvatore e gli giur\u00f2 la verginit\u00e0. Tecla confess\u00f2 alla sua famiglia che non voleva pi\u00f9 sposarsi e che aveva giurato la sua verginit\u00e0 al Signore Ges\u00f9 Cristo, cos\u00ec sua madre cerc\u00f2 di dissuaderla dalla sua decisione, ma senza successo. Le ho parlato gentilmente, ma lei ha rifiutato. L'ho picchiata e lei \u00e8 rimasta forte. \u00c8 stata privata del cibo per giorni, ma alla fine ha insistito. La madre si \u00e8 agitata moltissimo e ha voluto ucciderla. Allora cancell\u00f2 tra il popolo la vergogna di sua figlia, perci\u00f2 la port\u00f2 dal governatore della citt\u00e0. Quest'uomo cerc\u00f2, in ogni modo possibile, di dissuaderla dalla sua decisione. Affront\u00f2 in lei una volont\u00e0 forte, ferma e inflessibile, per questo minacci\u00f2 di gettarla viva nel fuoco, ma a lei non import\u00f2 fuoco da accendere e la gett\u00f2 dentro, cos\u00ec Tecla si gett\u00f2 felice nel fuoco, ma Dio la preserv\u00f2, cos\u00ec la pioggia cadde e spense il fuoco Tecla fu liberata da ogni male e lasci\u00f2 la casa di suo padre. Per divina provvidenza, Thekla fugg\u00ec dalla citt\u00e0 e segu\u00ec l'apostolo Paolo, poi venne con lui nella citt\u00e0 di Antiochia, dove continu\u00f2 a predicare il Vangelo di Cristo.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Ad Antiochia, Thekla affront\u00f2 il suo secondo martirio quando il governatore le disse che era cristiana. Il governatore la condann\u00f2 a morte e la gett\u00f2 alle bestie, ma queste non le fecero del male. Il sovrano fu confuso dal suo ordine e la gett\u00f2 in una fossa profonda piena di serpenti velenosi, ma non le fecero del male. Prov\u00f2 una seconda e una terza volta e il risultato fu lo stesso.<\/p>\n

Allora il governatore fu molto sorpreso dalla forza attiva in lei e le chiese: \u201cChi sei e cos\u2019\u00e8 questa forza attiva in te?\u201d !<\/p>\n

Tecla rispose: \u201cIo sono la serva del Dio vivente, la serva di Ges\u00f9 Cristo, il Figlio del Dio vivente. Lui solo \u00e8 la via, la verit\u00e0, la vita e la salvezza di coloro che sperano in Lui\u201d. \u201cCos\u00ec il governatore l\u2019ha rilasciata.<\/p>\n

Successivamente Thekla predic\u00f2 la parola di Dio, poi si ritir\u00f2, con la benedizione dell'apostolo Paolo, nella regione del Levante, cio\u00e8 a Maaloula, dove visse come eremita in una grotta. Il Signore Dio le diede il dono di guarire i malati, cos\u00ec le persone accorsero a lei e molti si convertirono a Cristo attraverso di lei. Ma la situazione non piacque ai medici di Silfakia, e i loro pazienti cominciarono ad abbandonarli l\u00ec. Quando i medici pensarono che la magia di Tecla fosse dovuta alla sua verginit\u00e0, mandarono uomini malvagi per umiliarla. Queste persone l'hanno inseguita, cos\u00ec lei \u00e8 fuggita da loro, cos\u00ec l'hanno assediata, cos\u00ec ha pregato il Signore Dio e ha chiesto aiuto, e una delle rocce si \u00e8 spaccata ed \u00e8 entrata, e non sono riusciti a prenderla, quindi la roccia \u00e8 stata un nascondiglio per lei e un luogo di sepoltura. Si ritiene che il riposo di Tecla avvenne intorno all'anno 90 d.C. e che lei fu la prima martire cristiana. Il suo corpo \u00e8 a Maaloula. La chiesa vi ritorna ogni anno il ventiquattro settembre.<\/p>\n

O gloriosa Tecla, compagna del divino Paolo, infiammata dall'amore del tuo Creatore per gli insegnamenti del divino predicatore, disdegnavi le cose terrene e transitorie, e ti presentavi a Dio come sacrificio santo e gradito, senza temere di tormenti. Pregate dunque Cristo, il Dio che vi ha circonciso, affinch\u00e9 ci conceda una grande misericordia.<\/p>\n
