13 E depois que eles partiram, eis que um anjo do Senhor apareceu a Jos\u00e9 em sonho, dizendo: \u201cLevanta-te, toma o menino e sua m\u00e3e, e foge para o Egito, e fica l\u00e1 at\u00e9 Te digo. Pois Herodes est\u00e1 prestes a procurar o menino para destru\u00ed-lo\u201d. 14 Ent\u00e3o ele se levantou, tomou de noite o menino e sua m\u00e3e e partiu para o Egito. 15 E esteve l\u00e1 at\u00e9 a morte de Herodes. Para que se cumprisse o que foi falado da parte do Senhor pelo profeta, que diz: \u201cDo Egito chamei meu filho\u201d.
16Quando Herodes viu que os magos zombavam dele, ficou muito irado. Ent\u00e3o ele enviou e matou todos os meninos que estavam em Bel\u00e9m e em todo o seu territ\u00f3rio, de dois anos para baixo, de acordo com o tempo que ele havia apurado dos Magos. 17 Ent\u00e3o se cumpriu o que foi dito pelo profeta Jeremias, dizendo: 18 \u201cUma voz se ouviu em Ram\u00e1, lamenta\u00e7\u00e3o e choro e grande lamenta\u00e7\u00e3o. Raquel chora pelos filhos e n\u00e3o quer ser consolada, porque eles n\u00e3o est\u00e3o ali.
19Morrendo Herodes, eis que um anjo do Senhor apareceu em sonho a Jos\u00e9, no Egito, 20dizendo: Levanta-te, toma o menino e sua m\u00e3e, e vai para a terra de Israel, porque aqueles que procuravam a vida da crian\u00e7a est\u00e3o mortos\u201d. 21 Ent\u00e3o ele se levantou, pegou o menino e sua m\u00e3e e foi para a terra de Israel. 22 Mas quando ouviu que Arquelau reinaria na Jud\u00e9ia em lugar de Herodes, seu pai, teve medo de ir para l\u00e1. Quando isso lhe foi revelado em sonho, ele partiu para os arredores da Galil\u00e9ia. 23 E ele veio e habitou numa cidade chamada Nazar\u00e9, para que se cumprisse o que foi dito pelos profetas: \u201cEle ser\u00e1 chamado Nazareno\u201d.<\/p>\n

Os magos do Oriente viram a estrela do rec\u00e9m-nascido rei dos judeus no Oriente, ent\u00e3o vieram a Jerusal\u00e9m para ador\u00e1-lo. Eles encontraram o rei Herodes, e ele os enviou a Bel\u00e9m, pedindo-lhes que voltassem para inform\u00e1-lo da localiza\u00e7\u00e3o do rec\u00e9m-nascido para que ele pudesse ir e se prostrar diante dele. A estrela os conduziu at\u00e9 o local, e eles viram o menino, e se curvaram diante dele, oferecendo presentes, e retornaram ao seu pa\u00eds depois que lhes foi dado para n\u00e3o voltarem a Herodes (ver Mateus 2: 1-12) .<\/p>\n

\u201cE quando os Magos partiram, eis que um anjo apareceu a Jos\u00e9 em sonho.\u201d O anjo do Senhor n\u00e3o significa o anjo de uma criatura diferente de Deus, mas sim esta express\u00e3o refere-se \u00e0 manifesta\u00e7\u00e3o do pr\u00f3prio Deus. Esta express\u00e3o ocorre frequentemente no Livro do G\u00eanesis (ver G\u00eanesis 16:7, 13 e 22K 11), acompanhada de inspira\u00e7\u00e3o atrav\u00e9s de sonhos (G\u00eanesis 15:12 e 28:12). O Evangelista Mateus, no primeiro e segundo cap\u00edtulos de seu Evangelho, utiliza o mesmo m\u00e9todo de cria\u00e7\u00e3o do Livro do G\u00eanesis, utilizando as mesmas express\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

O tema da composi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 a cria\u00e7\u00e3o. Assim, o evangelista Mateus, nestes dois cap\u00edtulos, coloca-nos na atmosfera da cria\u00e7\u00e3o, mas \u00e9 um tipo de cria\u00e7\u00e3o diferente. O Senhor Jesus n\u00e3o \u00e9 como o primeiro Ad\u00e3o, mas \u00e9 o novo Ad\u00e3o, as prim\u00edcias da nova cria\u00e7\u00e3o, o verdadeiro filho do homem e o verdadeiro filho de Deus. Ad\u00e3o caiu devido ao pecado e se afastou de Deus, por isso a imagem de Deus foi distorcida nele, mas o Senhor Jesus restaurou o esplendor desta imagem no homem, desenhando, atrav\u00e9s de sua obedi\u00eancia at\u00e9 a cruz, o caminho para alcan\u00e7ar o divino ideal (ver G\u00eanesis 1: 26-27).<\/p>\n

\u201cLevanta-te, toma o menino e sua m\u00e3e e foge para o Egito... Levanta-te, toma o menino e sua m\u00e3e e vai para a terra de Israel.\u201d Apenas o evangelista Mateus menciona a fuga para o Egipto e o regresso dele, recordando o \u00eaxodo do povo israelita do Egipto no Antigo Testamento. Notamos que o evangelista Mateus menciona incidentes da inf\u00e2ncia de Jesus numa ordem que nos lembra acontecimentos que o povo israelita j\u00e1 havia vivido anteriormente no Antigo Testamento. Isto nos leva a perguntar: Por que o evangelista quer mostrar que o Senhor Jesus personifica novamente esses mesmos acontecimentos em sua vida?<\/p>\n

\u201cCumpra-se o que o Senhor disse por meio do profeta: \u2018Do Egito chamei meu filho\u2019\u201d (Os\u00e9ias 11:1). Com este vers\u00edculo, o profeta Os\u00e9ias se referia ao povo israelense, e o evangelista Mateus encontra seu cumprimento no Senhor Jesus. Ent\u00e3o, o que antes era atribu\u00eddo ao povo israelense agora \u00e9 atribu\u00eddo ao Senhor Jesus, e a inten\u00e7\u00e3o disso \u00e9 enfatizar que o Senhor Jesus \u00e9 o verdadeiro Israel (ao contr\u00e1rio dos judeus), e a evid\u00eancia conclusiva disso \u00e9 que as profecias est\u00e3o sendo cumpridas desde o primeiro momento da concep\u00e7\u00e3o virginal (ver Mateus 1:22-23 e 2:5-6, 15, 17 e 23). Assim, o evangelista Mateus mostra que o Senhor Jesus \u00e9 o Messias e Salvador esperado e que nele se cumprem as promessas de Deus.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuando Herodes viu que os magos zombavam dele, ficou muito furioso e mandou matar todos os meninos de Bel\u00e9m....\u201d Herodes foi nomeado rei dos judeus pelo Senado Romano. Ele estava muito interessado na realeza e n\u00e3o tolerava qualquer amea\u00e7a ao seu trono. Foi relatado que ele n\u00e3o hesitou em matar v\u00e1rios de seus filhos e sua esposa quando sentiu que eles representavam uma amea\u00e7a ao seu trono, e isso mostra que o assassinato das crian\u00e7as inocentes de Bel\u00e9m n\u00e3o \u00e9 estranho ao seu comportamento.<\/p>\n

\u201cOuveu-se uma voz em Arimat\u00e9ia, pranto, pranto e muita lamenta\u00e7\u00e3o...\u201d (Jeremias 31:15). Com estes vers\u00edculos, o profeta Jeremias quis dizer o incidente dos judeus sendo exilados para a Babil\u00f4nia ap\u00f3s a queda de Jerusal\u00e9m nas m\u00e3os de Nabucodonosor. Os estudiosos acreditam que Mateus citou este vers\u00edculo aqui para indicar antecipadamente o sangue de Jesus que seria derramado na cruz por causa da rejei\u00e7\u00e3o dele pelos judeus, que \u00e9 personificada aqui pela rejei\u00e7\u00e3o de Herodes.<\/p>\n

Arquelau sucedeu a seu pai Herodes como governante, n\u00e3o como rei. O Imp\u00e9rio Romano atribuiu-lhe esta tarefa, mas dep\u00f4s-o dez anos depois, a pedido de uma delega\u00e7\u00e3o dos residentes da Jud\u00e9ia e Samaria. Isso mostra que ele era injusto e n\u00e3o agradava ao povo. Talvez por isso Jos\u00e9 tivesse medo de voltar ao juda\u00edsmo, por isso morou na cidade de Nazar\u00e9, na Galil\u00e9ia.<\/p>\n

O relato do nascimento de Jesus surge no primeiro e segundo cap\u00edtulos como uma introdu\u00e7\u00e3o ao Evangelho de Mateus, no qual o escritor apresenta as linhas principais do Evangelho como um todo. No texto do Evangelho de hoje encontramos as seguintes linhas: A rejei\u00e7\u00e3o de Herodes encarna a rejei\u00e7\u00e3o dos judeus ao Senhor Jesus, que terminar\u00e1 com a cruz, que \u00e9 referida como o sangue derramado pela matan\u00e7a de crian\u00e7as. Crian\u00e7as referem-se \u00e0queles que acreditar\u00e3o no Senhor Jesus e estar\u00e3o sujeitos a persegui\u00e7\u00e3o. A prostra\u00e7\u00e3o dos Magos indica a aceita\u00e7\u00e3o das na\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e0s boas novas da salva\u00e7\u00e3o e a sua f\u00e9 no Senhor Jesus.<\/p>\n
