The difference between christmass and x-mass
Many of us write Christmas as x-mass, but there is a big difference between them!!
X in math is used to the unknown such as y or z, and when we say x-mass we doesn't mention our Lord Christ so instead of that we are saying that Jesus is unknown!!
But our Jesus is our creator and he came to this earth which makes him known...
So Merry CHRISTMASS

Thanks Gaga for this clarification.
Christmass should also be written Christmas (with one s) because mass means the divine liturgy (Eucharist)
Christ is born let's glorify him.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It is not a coinsidence, it is a long life plan to delete CHRIST from our life and from everything we do … if you notice that "XMAS" was not kown before but now it is on every Greeting card
Also if we notice that now we never use the word Christmas in any Greeting it became all
“SESONS GREETINGS” or “HAPPY HOLIDAYS” it is a plan … and we have to stop it at least in our local socity and between our friends
Thank you very much Gaga for the clarification and I hope we add the same topic in Arabic so all our brothers and sisters can read it

Reverend Clergy and Devout Faithful
Grace, Peace, Mercy , and hierarchal blessings from the New Born King unto you
The Proper Exchange Amongst All Christians On THE NATIVITY OF OUR LORD, GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST
The blessed greeting is: Christ is born! Glorify Him! The reply should be: The Messiah is among us! Let us go forth and receive him! That is what the church has accepted and early Christians always practiced. Let us continue this Honorable Tradition, It is we who must keep it alive and pass it on to future generations and let us cry out
“Glory to God in the highest, for the Savior has been born to us”
You know how the old saying goes “When in Rome do what the Romans do". Well, unto you dearly beloved, I say “When in Rome we must teach the Romans what to do". Now let us go forth and dispel those floating conspiracy theories and let us remember to adhere to the precious truths which were Taught by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. By searching some historical facts we find the following
In the West the word Christmas originated as a contraction of "Christ's mass". It is derived from the Middle English Christemasse and Old English Cristes mæsse, a phrase first recorded in 1038, compounded from Old English derivatives of the Greek christos and the Latin missa. In early Greek versions of the New Testament, the letter Χ (chi), is the first letter of Christ. Since the mid-16th century Χ, or the similar Roman letter X, was used as an abbreviation for Christ. Hence, Xmas is often used as an abbreviation for Christmas
After the conversion of Anglo-Saxon Britain in the very early 7th century, Christmas was referred to as geol, the name of the pre-Christian solstice festival from which the current English word 'Yule'
is derived
PaganScandinavia celebrated a winter festival called Yule, held in the late December to early January period. Yule logs were lit to honor Thor, the god of thunder, with the belief that each spark from the fire represented a new pig or calf that would be born during the coming year. Feasting would continue until the log burned out, which could take as many as twelve days. In pagan Germania (not to be confused with Germany), the equivalent holiday was the mid-winter night which was followed by 12 "wild nights", filled with eating, drinking and partying. As Northern Europe was the last part to Christianize, its pagan celebrations had a major influence on Christmas. Scandinavians still call Christmas Jul. In English, the Germanic word Yule is synonymous with Christmas, a usage first recorded in 900

Blessed day Brother Gaga
Notice in the first part of my reply. In it, I stated how All Christians must exchange the blessings on this day of the Lord . This is my steadfast position on the topic
The Proper Exchange Amongst All Christians On THE NATIVITY OF OUR LORD, (notice here I did not say Christmas, WE DO NOT USE THIS TERM PERIOD.) GOD
The blessed greeting is: Christ is born! Glorify Him! note here I did not say MERRY CHRISTMAS, WE DO NOT USE THIS TERM PERIOD
The reply should be: The Messiah is among us! Let us go forth and receive him!
PLEASE READ WHAT I SAID HERE

Furthermore, the theory of X or Y and Z is not true period and we must not spread falshood, brother dearest, that is what we have learned from the LORD
The X came to be through events defined by cultural exchanges. History dictated these facts. no more no less

Here is more compelling evidence from the Sacred Christian Tradition that cements without a shadow of doubt
the sanctity of the letter X in Christendom
http://www.orthodoxonline.org/forum/.../2007/12/3.jpg
A disciple of St. John the Baptist, St. Andrew heard him refer to
Jesus as the Lamb of God. Andrew asked for an audience and
saw Jesus for a day, then proclaimed, "We have found the
Messiah," in itself a creed and confession for the
Christian faith. He brought his brother, Simon-Peter, to
Christ. Although not one of the inner circle, he played
the first role in several events which are recorded
Eusebius in his Church History states that Andrew later
went to Scythia. According to tradition he was martyred
at Patras, Greece, crucified on an X-shaped cross, which
since has become known as St. Andrew's Cross. He is
regarded as being connected with the writing of St. John's
Gospel. According to tradition, he is the founder of the
Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople
