Apostlene Peter og Paulus g\u00f8r tro p\u00e5 Jesus Herre til en betingelse for frelse: &quot;Hvis du vidner med din mund, at Jesus er Herre, og i dit hjerte tror, at Gud har oprejst ham fra de d\u00f8de, vil du blive frelst&quot; (Rom 10: 9). Hvad Peter ang\u00e5r, henvender han sig til de tilstedev\u00e6rende p\u00e5 pinsedagen og siger: &quot;Og det skal ske, at enhver, som p\u00e5kalder Herrens navn, vil blive frelst&quot; (ApG 2:19), og hvad der menes med Herren. her er Jesus Kristus. Apostlen Peter siger i samme pr\u00e6diken: &quot;Lad hele Israels hus vide med sikkerhed, at det er Jesus, som du har gjort ham til Herre og Kristus.&quot; Peter bekr\u00e6fter denne sag i en anden pr\u00e6diken, hvor han siger: \u201dDer er ingen frelse i nogen anden. For der er intet andet navn under himlen givet til nogen, ved hvilket vi kan blive frelst\u201d (ApG 4:12).<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>F\u00f8r Jesu Kristi tilh\u00e6ngere blev kaldt kristne: &quot;Og i Antiokia blev disciplene f\u00f8rst kaldt kristne&quot; (ApG 11:26), var de kendt som dem, der p\u00e5kaldte Herren Jesu navn. Ananias henvender sig til Herren og siger om Saulus, som skal blive Paulus: &quot;Herre, jeg har h\u00f8rt om denne mand fra mange mennesker, hvor meget han har skadet dine hellige i Jerusalem, og her har han en befaling fra ypperstepr\u00e6sterne om at binde enhver, der kalder p\u00e5 dit navn\u201d (ApG 9:13-14). I de fleste af sine breve glemmer apostlen Paulus ikke at n\u00e6vne &quot;Herren Jesus&quot;, som i begyndelsen af brevet til romerne: &quot;N\u00e5de og fred v\u00e6re med jer fra Gud vor Fader og Herren Jesus Kristus&quot; (Romerne. 1:7). Med hensyn til afslutningen af brevet til Galaterne, st\u00e5r der: &quot;Ved jeres \u00e5nd, br\u00f8dre, vor Herre Jesu Kristi n\u00e5de, Amen&quot; (Galaterne 6:18).<\/p>\n<p>Apostlen Paulus citerer en gammel kristen salme, der indeholder en bekendelse af Kristi herred\u00f8mme Efter at have talt om Herren Jesu eksistens f\u00f8r inkarnationen og om hans nedladenhed, inkarnation og d\u00f8d p\u00e5 korset, siger han: &quot;Derfor oph\u00f8jede Gud. ham til det h\u00f8jeste og sk\u00e6nkede ham det navn, der er over alle navne, for at ethvert kn\u00e6 i himlen skal b\u00f8je sig i Jesu navn.\u201d Og p\u00e5 jorden og under jorden, og hver tunge vidner om, at Jesus Kristus er Herren, til Gud Faders \u00e6re.&quot; (Filipperne 2:9-11). Det navn, som Gud gav til Jesus, som er over ethvert navn, er Guds navn. Dette betyder ikke, at Jesus ikke var Herre f\u00f8r hans opstandelse fra de d\u00f8de. og at han er en gud.<\/p>\n<p>Apostlen Paulus understreger ogs\u00e5 noget meget vigtigt, nemlig at ingen kan bekende Jesus som Herre undtagen gennem Hellig\u00e5nden: \u201dIngen, hvis han taler under Guds \u00c5nds inspiration, siger: &#039;Forbandet v\u00e6re Jesus&#039;, ej heller kan nogen sige: &#039;Jesus er Herre, undtagen ved Hellig\u00e5ndens inspiration&#039; (1 Kor 12:3).
