Den, der \u00f8nsker at blive forenet med Kristus, m\u00e5 oprigtigt bekymre sig om sig selv, blive tiltrukket af Kristus og ikke af verdslige ting. Da apostlen Peter h\u00f8rte Frelserens kald, br\u00f8d han sig ikke om verdslige anliggender. Enhver kristen, selv om han ikke har Peters s\u00e6rlige kald, kaldes af den vedvarende n\u00e5de, som gives til sj\u00e6len gennem sakramenterne, til at leve i Kristus. Apostlen Paulus taler om denne invitation og siger: "Gud har sendt sin S\u00f8ns \u00c5nd i jeres hjerter og r\u00e5ber: Abba, Fader" (Galaterne 4:6). Vi skal l\u00e6gge alle andre ting p\u00e5 bagen, s\u00e5 vi kan f\u00f8lge Kristus. "Det er ikke \u00f8nskv\u00e6rdigt, at vi fors\u00f8mmer Guds ord for at tjene ved bordene" (ApG 6:2), for hvad er v\u00e6rdien af de n\u00f8dvendige materielle goder i forhold til at tjene Gud? S\u00e5 vil den, der tjener Gud oprigtigt, finde de n\u00f8dvendige materielle goder, fordi Gud er kilden og lederen af al godhed. "S\u00f8g Guds rige og hans retf\u00e6rdighed, s\u00e5 vil alt blive tilf\u00f8jet til jer" (Matt 6:33). Gud, som ikke lyver, har givet os dette l\u00f8fte.
\nFrelseren taler ofte med den hensigt at beskytte os mod verdslige bekymringer og sige, at han ikke vil forlade os, men s\u00f8rge for os og vores liv. Han understreger dette faktum, fordi vi er ved at miste sublime ting p\u00e5 grund af vores verdslige bekymringer.<\/p>\n

Hvis verdslig interesse er farlig, hvad siger du s\u00e5 om interesse ledsaget af pine? Denne livstilstandskonflikt f\u00f8rer en person til skr\u00e5ningen af vildledning. Den, der opgiver sig selv for at v\u00e6re en leget\u00f8j i h\u00e6nderne p\u00e5 sk\u00e6bnen og livets luner lider af svimmelhed, psykologisk sammenbrud og svaghed. Korintherbrev 7:10) m\u00e5 uddrive ikke blot sorg, men ogs\u00e5 al omsorg og angst, denne \u00e6rkefjende af det kristne liv.
