Der heilige Antonius schrieb mehr als einmal an Konstantin und bat ihn, seinen Sch\u00fcler, den heiligen Athanasius, zu begnadigen und ihn in seine Di\u00f6zese zur\u00fcckzubringen. Konstantin antwortete, dass es f\u00fcr eine gro\u00dfe Zahl aufgekl\u00e4rter und weiser Bisch\u00f6fe unvern\u00fcnftig sei, einer Verurteilung einer unschuldigen Person zuzustimmen, und dass Athanasius seiner Meinung nach unh\u00f6flich, arrogant und l\u00e4stig sei. In einigen vorl\u00e4ufigen Erw\u00e4hnungen hie\u00df es, dass Arius nach Alexandria zur\u00fcckkehren wollte und dass das Volk dies nicht ertragen konnte, sodass sich das Feuer des Aufruhrs entz\u00fcndete und der Kaiser befahl, nach Konstantinopel zu kommen. Die Arianer arbeiteten hart daran, den ehrw\u00fcrdigen Bischof von Konstantinopel, Alexandros, davon zu \u00fcberzeugen, Arius in die Gesellschaft aufzunehmen, und dieser ehrw\u00fcrdige Pontifex hielt am Glauben von Nic\u00e4a fest und weigerte sich, Arius aufzunehmen. Konstantin befahl ihm, dies zu tun, also fl\u00fcchtete er in die Kirche, kniete weinend und betend vor dem Altar nieder. Als sich die Anh\u00e4nger von Arius versammelten, um ihre beiden Anf\u00fchrer in die Kirche aufzunehmen, war Arius beunruhigt und die Leute zogen sich zur\u00fcck, um sich zu erleichtern. Seine Eingeweide liefen heraus und er starb im Jahr 336 auf ihnen.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tod von Konstantin:<\/span><\/strong> (337) Konstantin feierte am 3. April 337 Ostern und wurde von einem Fieber heimgesucht, sodass er zu einem nahegelegenen Mineralwasser ging, um darin zu baden. Dann zog er nach Ankiron, in der N\u00e4he von Nikomedia. Er wollte im Wasser des Jordan getauft werden, wie es der Meister selbst getan hatte. Da die Zeit jedoch dringend war, empfing er das Sakrament der Taufe durch die H\u00e4nde von Ephesius, dem Bischof von Nikomedia. Er nahm den Purpur ab, warf ihn beiseite und kleidete sich in Wei\u00df. Seine Seele ergoss sich am Pfingsttag, dem 22. Mai 337. Sein K\u00f6rper wurde mumifiziert, in einen goldenen Sarg gelegt und zum Palast in Konstantinopel transportiert, um den Respekt der W\u00fcrdentr\u00e4ger zu empfangen. Dann wurde sein Leichnam in der Apostelkirche ausgestellt, wo der Klerus die ganze Nacht \u00fcber f\u00fcr ihn betete, und er wurde dort begraben.<\/p>\n<p>Er starb und hinterlie\u00df drei S\u00f6hne: Konstantin II., Constantius II. und Constantius. Die drei regierten gemeinsam das Reich, wobei Konstantin II. den Westen und Constantius den Osten \u00fcbernahm. Was Constans betrifft, regierte er Illyrien und einen Teil Afrikas. Konstantin II. begehrte die Herrschaft von Konstans dem J\u00fcngeren. Er bek\u00e4mpfte ihn, doch er fiel im Jahr 340 in Aquileia tot um. Dann rebellierten die Soldaten gegen Konstans und t\u00f6teten ihn im Jahr 350. So wurde Constantius II. alleiniger K\u00f6nig. Da er ein unfruchtbarer Mann war und keinen Erben hatte, rief er seinen Cousin Gallus aus seinem Exil, erhob ihn in den Rang eines Caesars, ernannte ihn zum Gouverneur des Ostens und richtete sein Hauptquartier in Antiochia ein. Aber Gallus hatte eine harte Natur, ein hartes Herz und einen Mangel an Gnade. Er war arrogant, arrogant und terrorisierte die Menschen. So rief ihn sein Cousin im Jahr 353 zu sich, stellte ihn vor Gericht und befahl seine Enthauptung.
