Nahum the prophet

He is one of the minor prophets, and his name means (Comforter), and he is the author of the seventh prophecy in the series of Old Testament prophecies. He was from Alqosh in Galilee, from the tribe of Simeon, one of the twelve tribes of Israel, and an authentic poet whose style was pure and uncomplicated.

تنبأ في أيام حزقيا الملاك بعد خراب السامرة 721 ق.م، وقد تنبأ على نينوى فأنذر بخرابها. نينوى هي المدينة التي أرسل الرب إليها يونان منذرًا وداعيًا إلى التوبة. وتنبأ أيضًا حيث قال: “هوذا على الجمال قدمًا مبشّرًا مناد بالسلام. عيّدي يا يهوذا أعيادك أوفي نذورك فإنه لا يعود يعبر فيك أيضًا المهلك قد انقرض كّله” ناحوم 10: 15.
