\"On the fourth day of the month of February, the Holy Church celebrates our righteous father Isidore of Fermi. This saint was born in the city of Alexandria around the year 360 from a noble and wealthy family. She was educated in worldly and high religious sciences and was a student of Saint John Chrysostom for a time. He excelled in knowledge until he became one of the most prominent scholars of his time. But his exile loved a life of tranquility and asceticism, so he left his wealth, money, and family, and became a monk in a monastery in a young generation near the city of Pelusius, east of the Nile Delta, which is now called Pharmos. Therefore, he was called Isidore the Fermi and was nicknamed in foreign languages, Pelusioti.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the monastery, Isidoros showed courage and seriousness in work and monastic commitment in its various forms and expressions, to the point that he surpassed his fellow monks. He was greatly distinguished by his deep humility, continuous fasting, and strict jihad until he became a role model for his brothers, who loved him, respected him, and handed over their leadership to him, so that he became, in a short time, the supreme head of the monasteries in the Egyptian desert.<\/p>\n

The Patriarch of Alexandria wanted to benefit the church from the experiences of Isidore and his burning apostolic zeal, so he elevated him to the sacred rank of priesthood and released him as a messenger of Christ to serve the church and proclaim the truth of the upright Christian faith to save souls, edify them, and strengthen and strengthen them in the face of heresies. Since he was known to all people for his virtue, asceticism, piety, and impartiality, he gained confidence that made him an irresistible argument and a major and binding theological reference. He was able to convince Jewish scholars with his explanation of the books of the prophets in the Old Testament and to refute the fallacies of heresy in his writings about the truth of the Holy Trinity, the divine incarnation, and redemption.<\/p>\n

As for his major mission, which was difficult and successful at the same time, it was his violent offensive positions towards evil and evil people, wherever he found them and no matter how high their status. He used to criticize, scold, rebuke, and defend moral values and social justice in the face of the oppressor in order to do justice to the oppressed... His word was heard and his instructions were obeyed, because behind all of that he only wanted the glory of God and the good and salvation of man. Even the Patriarch of Alexandria, Saint Cyril, used to listen to him and obey him because he was a spiritual father and guide to him. This is because great hearts are not arrogant in obeying the truth or allying itself with its paths, but rather humble themselves and contrite before Him.<\/p>\n

Father Isidore lived for many years in the service of the Holy Church of God and left us many writings and letters that included his sound spiritual and theological teachings and his bold apostolic stances as testimony to why he said: \u201cI am the way, the truth, and the life.\u201d He fell asleep in the Lord in the year 449, full of virtue, righteousness, and holiness. May God benefit us by the example of his life and prayers, Amen.<\/p>\n
