Se presenta diciendo: \u201cSoy Abdullah, de la familia de Ad\u00e1n, del pueblo de Qahtan, de Tiber\u00edades del Levante, y mi refugio son las chozas (un pueblo cerca de la ciudad de Baniyas, al norte del lago Tiber\u00edades), el fuente de conocimiento y noticias\u201d. Era famoso por haber discutido con el pr\u00edncipe Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd al-Malik ibn Saleh al-Hashemi, el \u201cdue\u00f1o\u201d (gobernador) de Damasco y Palestina, durante los d\u00edas del califa abas\u00ed Harun al-Rashid. Este debate tuvo lugar en presencia de personalidades jud\u00edas, cristianas e isl\u00e1micas. De las declaraciones de Al-Tabarani se desprende claramente que era ortodoxo en doctrina, siguiendo la doctrina calcedonia.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>El debate aborda muchos temas y responde a diversas preguntas, entre ellas: el tema de la religi\u00f3n verdadera, la divinidad de Cristo y su humanidad, \u00bfCristo es creado o no creado?, la validez del Evangelio, la encarnaci\u00f3n y la Sant\u00edsima Trinidad, la cruz , la superioridad de Cristo sobre cualquier otro profeta o mensajero, la promesa de la segunda venida y la resurrecci\u00f3n p\u00fablica. El debate termina con el regreso a la fe cristiana de los servidores del \u201cpr\u00edncipe que eran cristianos y convertidos al Islam\u201d, reconociendo \u201ca Cristo que es el Hijo de Dios eterno y vivo\u201d. El pr\u00edncipe orden\u00f3 que los decapitaran \u201ca causa de su apostas\u00eda\u201d, seg\u00fan su opini\u00f3n, y orden\u00f3 encarcelar al monje.<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim Al-Tabarani no tuvo miedo cuando el pr\u00edncipe le pregunt\u00f3: \u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 religiones son las mejores y las mejores, y qu\u00e9 naciones son m\u00e1s honorables ante Dios?\u201d Una de las respuestas es que la religi\u00f3n verdadera y la religi\u00f3n virtuosa ante Dios es \u201cla religi\u00f3n de Cristo y de la naci\u00f3n cristiana\u201d. Esto se debe a que Dios hizo del cristianismo la religi\u00f3n \u201cque eligi\u00f3 para su gloria, con la que se regocijaron sus \u00e1ngeles, con la que se agrad\u00f3 a sus siervos, que escogi\u00f3 para sus santos y los que le obedecen, y que sus profetas anunciaron, (...) y al cual condujo a los pueblos y naciones sin espada, ni opresi\u00f3n, ni ocultamiento de falsedad, y purific\u00f3 de impureza sus obligaciones, y las adorn\u00f3 a todas con virtudes, y las hizo conocimiento, seguridad, gu\u00eda, y luz para los siervos en todo &quot;El pa\u00eds&quot;. Contin\u00faa describiendo a los cristianos como el pueblo de \u201cla naci\u00f3n virtuosa que es adicta al ayuno, realiza oraciones, abunda en limosnas y recita vers\u00edculos de la verdad d\u00eda y noche. Se sacrifican a s\u00ed mismos y a sus riquezas, soportando severa opresi\u00f3n y derramando su sangre. en diversos tipos de tormento, por protecci\u00f3n a su amo y por amor a \u00e9l\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>En cuanto al motivo para que el Hijo de Dios se hiciera hombre y tomara el cuerpo de la virgen, la Madre de Dios, Ibrahim al-Tabarani, dice: \u201cCuando Dios (gloria sea Su nombre) vio que los corazones del pueblo se hab\u00edan vuelto corruptos, y sus conciencias crec\u00edan en maldad y perseverancia en ir contra la verdad, y hac\u00eda tiempo que se hab\u00edan apartado de aquello a lo que \u00c9l los hab\u00eda llamado de creer en \u00c9l, Dios apareci\u00f3 en vestiduras humanas. Entonces gui\u00f3 a los siervos con Su sabidur\u00eda, gracia y misericordia, y los salv\u00f3 del extrav\u00edo y la incredulidad en que hab\u00edan ca\u00eddo al adorar a Satan\u00e1s, y los gui\u00f3 a la verdad\u201d. Al-Tabarani corrige lo que creen los musulmanes de que los cristianos s\u00f3lo glorifican a Cristo porque revivi\u00f3 a los muertos. Dice: \u201cNo consideramos a Cristo un dios porque s\u00f3lo revivi\u00f3 a los muertos\u201d. Pero debido a que \u00c9l revel\u00f3 las se\u00f1ales con un mandato eficaz suyo, no hay necesidad de petici\u00f3n o s\u00faplica, como los profetas. Estos signos los mostrar\u00eda si quisiera: o un muerto resucitar\u00eda, un ciego ser\u00eda abierto, o un enfermo ser\u00eda sanado, y miles de hambrientos se saciar\u00edan con un poco de pan. Todo esto con un poder presente en \u00c9l\u201d. Luego el monje afirma la creencia en la Sant\u00edsima Trinidad, diciendo que \u201cDios, que es ilimitado, dio a luz al Hijo que no tiene principio, y revel\u00f3 el esp\u00edritu sin separaci\u00f3n ni l\u00edmite, eterno de eterno, creador de sin ser creado, encarnado de no tener cuerpo\u201d. En otro lugar del texto del argumento, Al-Tabarani declara que Cristo \u201ces por la esencia de su padre, el Creador, y por la esencia de su madre, naci\u00f3 de un ser creado\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim al-Tabarani no se reconcilia con su interlocutor, el pr\u00edncipe, que lo provoc\u00f3 dici\u00e9ndole que Mahoma es m\u00e1s querido y m\u00e1s honorable para Dios que Cristo, Ad\u00e1n y todos sus descendientes. Al-Tabarani le responde despu\u00e9s de recibir la seguridad y el pacto del pr\u00edncipe, diciendo: \u201cY debes saber que Cristo est\u00e1 en lo m\u00e1s alto del cielo, y Mahoma y todos los profetas est\u00e1n debajo de la tierra, y que el cielo es el asiento y el trono de Dios, y que Cristo est\u00e1 sentado en el trono de gloria a la diestra del Padre, sobre los \u00e1ngeles y los siervos. \u00bfC\u00f3mo puede alguien que est\u00e1 bajo la tierra ser m\u00e1s honorable ante Dios que alguien que est\u00e1 en el cielo en el trono de gloria? En respuesta a una pregunta sobre Mahoma, el monje testific\u00f3 con total franqueza y dijo: \u201cNo reconozco que vuestro profeta sea un profeta. \u00c9l no es m\u00e1s que un rey que agrad\u00f3 a Dios y a trav\u00e9s de quien se cumpli\u00f3 la promesa de Abraham a Ismael. Porque de Juan, hijo de Zacar\u00edas, surgi\u00f3 la profec\u00eda y la revelaci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Luego, los dos polemistas abordan el tema m\u00e1s importante en la disputa isl\u00e1mico-cristiana: la cruz y su honor entre los cristianos. Al-Tabarani especifica la ense\u00f1anza cristiana sobre este tema, diciendo: \u201cNo, por mi vida, no adoramos la cruz. Nadie debe culpar a los cristianos por su amor a la cruz, porque de ella se les revelaron innumerables cosas. Esto se debe a que es el estandarte de la victoria y de la salvaci\u00f3n del extrav\u00edo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim al-Tabarani afirma la fe monote\u00edsta de los cristianos, quit\u00e1ndoles la acusaci\u00f3n de polite\u00edsmo. Dice: \u201cNo somos polite\u00edstas, pero compartimos, por la gracia de Dios, este ser humano elegido por nuestra esencia, a trav\u00e9s del cual conocemos. Dios como tres personas, el bien y el mal, y la resurrecci\u00f3n y la resurrecci\u00f3n\u201d. Agrega sobre el tema de la Resurrecci\u00f3n, diciendo: \u201cNos preocupa el asunto de la Resurrecci\u00f3n y la resurrecci\u00f3n basada en la verdad y la certeza, porque Cristo vino y dijo: Oh pueblo, la Resurrecci\u00f3n se realizar\u00e1 por medio de nosotros, y Dios resucitar\u00e1 de los sepulcros\u201d. As\u00ed muri\u00f3 y fue sepultado, resucit\u00f3 y resucit\u00f3 vivo, ascendi\u00f3 al cielo y volver\u00e1\u201d. Al-Tabarani cree que esta certeza no existe en el juda\u00edsmo ni en el Islam, porque el profeta Mois\u00e9s y el profeta Mahoma murieron y no resucitaron.<\/p>\n<p>El monje Ibrahim al-Tabarani es un verdadero testigo de Jesucristo, Salvador y Redentor. Hay muchos testigos como \u00e9l en nuestro mundo \u00e1rabe, desde el surgimiento del Islam hasta hoy. De lo contrario, el cristianismo se habr\u00eda extinguido en nuestro querido Oriente.
