No s\u00f3lo nos libr\u00f3 de la culpa y del juicio, sino que tambi\u00e9n nos dot\u00f3 de una gran cantidad de cosas buenas de valor incalculable. Nos has calificado para ascender incluso al cielo y convertirnos en socios y contribuyentes del Reino de Dios. \u00bfC\u00f3mo puede uno pensar que alguna vez fuimos enemigos de Dios a causa del pecado y esclavos de los deseos, llenos de verg\u00fcenza y deshonra? Nadie puede comprender la amplitud y el valor del sacrificio del Maestro. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 gran honor fue morir en la cruz! El Salvador acept\u00f3 condescendientemente ser vendido a sus crucificadores por treinta piezas de plata. Se hizo pobre, humillado y vendido por nosotros. Y aqu\u00ed est\u00e1 la grandeza. El insulto que soportaste fue nuestra ganancia. Muri\u00f3 por elecci\u00f3n propia, sin agraviar a nadie, ni en su vida privada ni en su vida p\u00fablica. Con su muerte, se convirti\u00f3 en fuente de bendiciones incluso para sus verdugos.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfA qu\u00e9 se debe toda esta simplificaci\u00f3n del asunto? El Dios-hombre est\u00e1 muerto. La sangre que fue derramada en la cruz es la sangre del Dios-hombre. \u00bfHay algo m\u00e1s terrible y m\u00e1s precioso que la muerte del Dios-hombre? \u00bfCu\u00e1n grande fue el peso de nuestro pecado que requiri\u00f3 esta muerte para satisfacer la justicia divina? \u00bfQu\u00e9 tan profunda era la herida que requiri\u00f3 la eficacia de la poderosa medicina que emanaba del sacrificio del Dios-Hombre en la cruz para poder sanar? Para eliminar el poder del pecado era necesario que alguien fuera castigado. Era necesario que llev\u00e1ramos un castigo igual al peso del pecado que comet\u00edamos para quedar libres de responsabilidad y de crimen. No hab\u00eda ning\u00fan ser humano libre de pecado que pudiera sufrir por todos, ni siquiera por todo el g\u00e9nero humano. Si murieran miles de muertes, podr\u00edan hacer este trabajo. \u00bfQu\u00e9 valor tiene la muerte de un esclavo lleno de verg\u00fcenza y corrupci\u00f3n, un esclavo que destruy\u00f3 la imagen real y ultraj\u00f3 grandemente la grandeza divina? Por eso, el amo inocente, el hombre perfecto, soport\u00f3 muchos sufrimientos, acept\u00f3 cirug\u00edas, muri\u00f3, defendi\u00f3 a la raza humana, liber\u00f3 a nuestra raza de la responsabilidad del crimen del gran pecado y dio a los esclavos la libertad que \u00e9l no necesitaba como Dios y maestro.
