Sa m\u00e8re, \u00c9piphane, \u00e9tait plus que \u00e9gale \u00e0 son p\u00e8re en mati\u00e8re de bonne conduite. Mais ils \u00e9taient priv\u00e9s d&#039;enfants, aussi ne quittaient-ils pas une \u00e9glise sans la visiter, demandant la mis\u00e9ricorde de leur Seigneur, l&#039;implorant de leur accorder, si possible, le fruit des entrailles. Alors que cinquante-trois ans s&#039;\u00e9taient \u00e9coul\u00e9s depuis leur mariage, \u00c9piphane re\u00e7ut en r\u00eave la visite d&#039;un ange et lui dit : Fortifie-toi, femme, car Dieu t&#039;a donn\u00e9 un fils dont le nom sera diffus\u00e9 dans les pays sous le soleil. . Et apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9e enceinte, elle donna naissance \u00e0 un fils et lui donna le nom, comme lui dit l&#039;ange : Asie (que j&#039;ai traduit en La langue grecque est le m\u00e9decin) Asie a \u00e9t\u00e9 enseign\u00e9e par des livres purs et a pratiqu\u00e9 la grammaire, la logique, et la philosophie. Il grandit en gr\u00e2ce et en stature. Son esprit \u00e9tait \u00e9clair\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Il a donc acquis beaucoup de connaissances en peu de temps. Son p\u00e8re l&#039;a mari\u00e9 \u00e0 la fille d&#039;un ministre, mais avant la fin des c\u00e9l\u00e9brations de son mariage, il a tout quitt\u00e9 et est sorti chercher la face de son Seigneur. En chemin, il rencontra un pauvre homme et \u00e9changea des v\u00eatements avec lui. Il poursuivit son voyage avec diligence jusqu&#039;\u00e0 ce qu&#039;il atteigne un monast\u00e8re dirig\u00e9 par un pr\u00eatre nomm\u00e9 Thomas, o\u00f9 il resta sept ans en tant que moine en difficult\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s cela, il se rendit au Mont Sina\u00ef et rencontra un homme, ami de Dieu, qui se nourrissait \u00ab dans les d\u00e9serts du Mont Mont avec ses b\u00eates sauvages qui le servaient, jouissant du jour et de la nuit sans la pl\u00e9nitude de la lumi\u00e8re divine. . \u00bb Alors il l\u2019a embrass\u00e9. La gr\u00e2ce de Dieu le conduisit dans un village pr\u00e8s d&#039;Antioche. Asiya y r\u00e9sida pendant un certain temps, conversant avec son Seigneur toute la nuit et jusqu&#039;\u00e0 la fin de la journ\u00e9e, et les gens furent guid\u00e9s vers lui. Quiconque venait \u00e0 lui malade ou dans le besoin revenait chez lui en bonne sant\u00e9, r\u00e9confort\u00e9 et r\u00e9pondu.<\/p>\n<p>Parmi ses miracles figuraient la gu\u00e9rison de la c\u00e9cit\u00e9, de l&#039;infertilit\u00e9, de graves maux de t\u00eate et de divers types de maladies, l&#039;expulsion d&#039;esprits malveillants, la lib\u00e9ration des personnes du mal des animaux pr\u00e9dateurs, la r\u00e9surrection des morts, la gu\u00e9rison du fils du roi perse et la lib\u00e9ration de la fille de l&#039;empereur byzantin Th\u00e9odose le Grand des griffes d&#039;un mauvais esprit qui la contr\u00f4lait. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 enterr\u00e9 dans l&#039;\u00e9glise du village, o\u00f9 son sanctuaire a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 vaincre la douleur et \u00e0 accomplir des miracles et des gu\u00e9risons.
