Il fut martyris\u00e9 dans la ville de Damas au XVe si\u00e8cle. Une fois, il est entr\u00e9 \u00e0 Damas portant un turban blanc, se cachant, de peur que des musulmans Hanafi ne le rencontrent et ne l&#039;attaquent. La divine Providence a voulu que certains de ces gens le rencontrent. Quand leurs yeux tomb\u00e8rent sur lui, ils devinrent m\u00e9fiants \u00e0 son sujet, alors ils s&#039;approch\u00e8rent de lui et lui demand\u00e8rent en disant : Quand as-tu cru, cet homme ?! Il leur r\u00e9pondit : Je suis croyant depuis hier et avant-hier. Ils pensaient que cela signifiait avoir foi en leur religion, alors ils le quitt\u00e8rent et continu\u00e8rent leur route en se r\u00e9jouissant.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Peu de temps apr\u00e8s, ils le revirent et il apparut devant leurs yeux, \u00f4tant le turban de sa t\u00eate et portant l&#039;habit des chr\u00e9tiens. Alors ils l&#039;ont arr\u00eat\u00e9 et l&#039;ont diffam\u00e9 en disant : Ne nous avez-vous pas dit que vous croyiez ?! Il a dit : Oui, je crois en mon Seigneur et Dieu, J\u00e9sus-Christ. Ils furent tr\u00e8s en col\u00e8re contre lui et leurs voix devinrent plus fortes, et beaucoup de gens se rassembl\u00e8rent contre lui et ils commenc\u00e8rent \u00e0 le frapper \u00e0 la t\u00eate et \u00e0 la bouche. Puis ils l&#039;emmen\u00e8rent, tra\u00een\u00e9 par terre, chez le gouverneur et les juges de la ville, et lorsqu&#039;ils furent arriv\u00e9s, ils les inform\u00e8rent de ce qui lui \u00e9tait arriv\u00e9. Ces gens l&#039;ont interrog\u00e9 et il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 sans h\u00e9sitation sa foi au Seigneur J\u00e9sus-Christ comme Seigneur, Seigneur et Dieu. Ceux qui l&#039;ont vu pendant cette heure dure et effrayante ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tonn\u00e9s, selon ce que raconte son biographe, de la force de sa r\u00e9solution, de la solidit\u00e9 de sa volont\u00e9 et de la bont\u00e9 avec laquelle il a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 sa foi en son Seigneur, de sorte qu&#039;aucune menace ni les menaces ni la torture ne l&#039;ont affect\u00e9. Puis ils l&#039;ont jet\u00e9 en prison.<\/p>\n<p>Ils sont revenus quelques jours plus tard et l&#039;ont arr\u00eat\u00e9 devant le conseil et l&#039;ont interrog\u00e9 sur ses convictions. Il leur r\u00e9pondit avec ce qu&#039;il leur avait dit, en commen\u00e7ant avec la m\u00eame confiance. Ils ont essay\u00e9 de le courtiser avec gentillesse et gentillesse, mais ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9\u00e7us. Et il louait le nom du Christ Seigneur, gloire \u00e0 lui, sans h\u00e9sitation ni crainte. Lorsqu&#039;ils le virent in\u00e9branlable, in\u00e9branlable et inflexible, ni sous l&#039;influence d&#039;une promesse ni sous la menace, ils ordonn\u00e8rent de le jeter \u00e0 terre par des hommes qui le frappaient fr\u00e9quemment avec des b\u00e2tons, sans rel\u00e2che, puis le renvoy\u00e8rent dans sa prison. Il \u00e9tait heureux en esprit et remerciait Dieu de le consid\u00e9rer comme digne d&#039;\u00eatre battu et humili\u00e9 pour l&#039;amour de son saint nom. Il a \u00e9galement commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 prier son Seigneur pour qu&#039;il soit qualifi\u00e9 pour accepter le martyre en son nom, mais il ne l&#039;a pas d\u00e9\u00e7u. Le Seigneur Dieu a montr\u00e9 son serviteur en bonne sant\u00e9 et exempt des effets des coups. Il l\u2019a \u00e9galement fortifi\u00e9 et l\u2019a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 supporter la douleur.<\/p>\n<p>Peu de temps apr\u00e8s, Satan a de nouveau attir\u00e9 ses bourreaux contre lui, alors ils l&#039;ont convoqu\u00e9. Lorsqu&#039;ils l&#039;ont amen\u00e9, ils l&#039;ont jet\u00e9 \u00e0 terre et l&#039;ont battu deux fois. Il semble qu&#039;ils l&#039;aient tortur\u00e9 \u00e0 tel point qu&#039;il n&#039;avait plus de peau sur ses pieds et qu&#039;il ne pouvait plus se tenir debout. Apr\u00e8s cela, ils l&#039;ont \u00e9lev\u00e9 et jet\u00e9 en prison. Il ne lui fallut pas longtemps pour remettre son \u00e2me b\u00e9nie entre les mains de son ma\u00eetre et il re\u00e7ut la couronne du martyre. Il \u00e9tait dans cet \u00e9tat depuis deux ann\u00e9es compl\u00e8tes. Son martyre eut lieu le 8 novembre 1470 ou 1471 apr\u00e8s JC.<\/p>\n<p>Cette biographie est tir\u00e9e du livre \u00ab Les saints oubli\u00e9s dans l&#039;h\u00e9ritage d&#039;Antioche \u00bb, dans lequel l&#039;archimandrite Thomas (Bitar) a rassembl\u00e9 les biographies des saints pour lesquels on ne trouve pas de f\u00eate dans le
