San Sissoye nacque in Egitto intorno all'anno 339 d.C. Sent\u00ec il bisogno di seguire la via di Sant'Antonio, cos\u00ec lasci\u00f2 il mondo e si rec\u00f2 nel deserto dell'Alto Egitto, dove fece ascetismo e inizi\u00f2 a praticare lavori ascetici per mano di abili insegnanti nella vita spirituale di obbedienza, umilt\u00e0, preghiera, digiuno costante e veglia costante, e le persone iniziarono a trarne beneficio per ricevere la sua benedizione quando vide l'interesse della gente per lui, e la sua anima desiderava solitudine, silenzio e devozione costante alla comunione con il Creatore, lasci\u00f2 il suo posto, penetr\u00f2 nel deserto e giunse al monte del santo. Antonio e vi risiedeva.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Tutta la sua vita era preghiera, digiuno, silenzio e lavoro. Quanto alla sua preghiera, era una lode continua, e quanto ai suoi digiuni, erano intensi, poich\u00e9 mangiava una volta ogni due giorni e mangiava l'erba del deserto. Sisoyi faceva miracoli. Una volta accadde che un padre e suo figlio andarono da lui per ricevere la sua benedizione, mentre stavano camminando sulla strada, il giovane figlio cadde e mor\u00ec a causa della forte fede del padre nella santit\u00e0 e nell'intercessione di Sisoyi, port\u00f2 suo figlio e continu\u00f2 per la sua strada. Il suo volto si illumin\u00f2 e disse: "Ecco la classe dei profeti". le luci raddoppiarono e lui disse: \u201cEcco i santi apostoli\u201d. "Stanno arrivando." I presenti lo hanno sentito parlare sottovoce alle persone che stavano di fronte a lui, ma non hanno visto nessuno di loro. Gli chiesero di loro, ed egli disse: "Mi rivolgo agli angeli che sono venuti a prendere la mia anima, e chiedo loro di lasciarmi per un'altra volta affinch\u00e9 io possa fare un pentimento accettabile. Allora i monaci intorno a lui gli dissero:". \u201cO Padre, non ne hai abbastanza delle pratiche di pentimento che hai fatto in questi lunghi anni che hai trascorso nel deserto?\u201d Egli rispose loro dicendo: "In verit\u00e0 vi dico, non so ancora se ho veramente iniziato una vita di pentimento?" E se, nella mia vecchiaia, non potr\u00f2 praticare atti di pentimento come voglio e desidero, allora posso almeno piangere per me stesso e per i miei peccati, e questo mi sar\u00e0 di grande beneficio\u201d. la sua umilt\u00e0 e rimase silenzioso e umile davanti a quello scheletro che giaceva davanti a loro su una stuoia consunta, e mentre lo guardavano in silenzio, il suo viso brillava come un sole splendente, e alz\u00f2 le mani e grid\u00f2 ad alta voce: \u201c Guarda, guarda, eccolo." Ecco, il Signore viene e mi dice: Dammi questo vaso scelto. E quando disse questo, rese lo spirito, e ci\u00f2 avvenne nell'anno 429 d.C.<\/p>\n
