L&#039;onore di Sergio e Bacco si diffuse anche in molte parti dell&#039;Oriente. Si dice che la prima chiesa costruita per lui fosse a Busra Houran nell&#039;anno 512 d.C. L&#039;imperatore Giustiniano costru\u00ec anche due grandi chiese nel nome di San Sergio (Sarkis), una a Costantinopoli e l&#039;altra ad Akka in Palestina (VI secolo).
