Em hebraico, significa \u201cDeus salva\u201d, e \u00e9 mencionado na l\u00edngua do anjo do Senhor que disse a Jos\u00e9 em sonho: \u201c...e. ela dar\u00e1 \u00e0 luz um filho, e lhe chamar\u00e1 Jesus, pois ele \u00e9 quem salvar\u00e1 o seu povo dos seus pecados\u201d (Mateus 1:21). O Evangelista Jo\u00e3o define a miss\u00e3o de Jesus no mundo, pois ele \u00e9 o Salvador que veio ao mundo \u201cpara salvar o mundo\u201d (Jo\u00e3o 3:17).<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>A obra de Jesus, ent\u00e3o, consiste em tornar a salva\u00e7\u00e3o acess\u00edvel a todas as pessoas. O que aqui se entende por salva\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 a salva\u00e7\u00e3o do pecado e da morte e o apego ao Senhor. \u00c9 por isso que o ap\u00f3stolo Paulo diz: \u201cN\u00e3o h\u00e1 mais julgamento para aqueles que est\u00e3o em Jesus Cristo, porque a lei do Esp\u00edrito que d\u00e1 vida em Jesus Cristo me libertou da lei do pecado e da morte. O que a lei n\u00e3o p\u00f4de fazer, e a carne foi exaurida por ela, Deus realizou enviando Seu Filho em um corpo semelhante ao nosso corpo pecaminoso, como expia\u00e7\u00e3o pelo pecado\u201d (Romanos 8: 1-3).<\/p>\n<p>Na mesma carta, h\u00e1 muitas passagens que enfatizam a obra salvadora de Jesus, que foi realizada pelo seu sangue para nos justificar e santificar. Esta obra nasce do amor infinito de Deus: \u201cDeus demonstrou o seu amor por n\u00f3s, pelo fato de Cristo ter morrido por n\u00f3s quando \u00e9ramos pecadores\u201d (5:8). E tamb\u00e9m: \u201cAquele que n\u00e3o poupou a seu pr\u00f3prio Filho, mas o entregou \u00e0 morte por todos n\u00f3s, como n\u00e3o nos dar\u00e1 com ele todas as coisas\u201d (8:31). Aqui h\u00e1 uma compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o sacrif\u00edcio de Abra\u00e3o, mas a diferen\u00e7a entre os dois sacrif\u00edcios \u00e9 clara: Isaque foi substitu\u00eddo por um carneiro, enquanto Jesus foi o mesmo cordeiro que foi abatido.<\/p>\n<p>Este cordeiro, s\u00edmbolo de expia\u00e7\u00e3o, foi mencionado pelo profeta Isa\u00edas em sua profecia sobre o servo do Senhor, que \u201cfoi levado como uma ovelha ao matadouro, e como um cordeiro antes que aqueles que o tosquiavam ficassem em sil\u00eancio, e ele n\u00e3o abriu a boca... porque se entregou \u00e0 morte e foi contado com os transgressores, e levou sobre si os pecados de muitos e intercedeu pelos transgressores\u201d (Isa\u00edas 53:7-12).<\/p>\n<p>H\u00e1 outra compara\u00e7\u00e3o na Ep\u00edstola aos Hebreus entre a justifica\u00e7\u00e3o no Antigo Testamento e a do Novo Testamento: \u201cSe o sangue de bodes e touros e a aspers\u00e3o das cinzas da novilha santificam os impuros para purificar seus corpos, ent\u00e3o \u00e9 \u00e9 mais digno do sangue de Cristo, o qual se ofereceu a Deus com esp\u00edrito eterno, em sacrif\u00edcio imaculado, para purificar a nossa consci\u00eancia das obras mortas, para que sirvamos ao Deus vivo\u201d (Hebreus 9:13-14). . Todos os sacrif\u00edcios do Antigo Testamento s\u00e3o apenas uma imagem do \u00fanico e verdadeiro sacrif\u00edcio atrav\u00e9s do qual veio a salva\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>A salva\u00e7\u00e3o veio atrav\u00e9s da reden\u00e7\u00e3o. O Senhor Jesus nos redimiu com seu sangue, ou seja, ele nos comprou com seu sangue. Ele se entregou por todos: \u201cEste \u00e9 o meu corpo que \u00e9 entregue por voc\u00eas... Este \u00e9 o meu sangue que \u00e9 derramado por muitos para o perd\u00e3o dos pecados\u201d. Deus encarnou para realizar esta reden\u00e7\u00e3o. Por esta raz\u00e3o Deus veio ao mundo.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e3o Greg\u00f3rio de Nazianzo diz: \u201cDeus teve que encarnar e morrer para que pud\u00e9ssemos viver\u201d. A morte e ressurrei\u00e7\u00e3o de Deus s\u00e3o a fonte da nossa vida. Jesus se entregou para nos dar a salva\u00e7\u00e3o gratuitamente, por isso n\u00e3o a negligenciemos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Do meu boletim paroquial de
