Quando ele estava vivendo uma vida casta sem sombra de d\u00favida e as pessoas exaltavam suas virtudes, Satan\u00e1s o invejou e quis distorcer sua reputa\u00e7\u00e3o e fazer as pessoas acreditarem que ele estava vivendo na impureza. \u00c9 por isso que ele assumiu a forma de um menino que apareceu pela janela de seu quarto. A situa\u00e7\u00e3o piorou entre o povo e os nobres da cidade, que o acusaram de imoralidade e decidiram puni-lo sem passar pelo tribunal da igreja. Um dia, enquanto o povo se reunia, ele viu a menina fugindo da sede do bispo. O boato se espalhou e as acusa\u00e7\u00f5es ficaram mais altas at\u00e9 que algumas pessoas amea\u00e7aram matar o pobre bispo que protestou e afirmou ser inocente. Colocando toda a sua esperan\u00e7a no Sant\u00edssimo Col\u00e9gio e tomando o \u00edcone nos bra\u00e7os, dirigiu-se ao rio Oka, onde o povo e os nobres o esperavam, prontos para expuls\u00e1-lo. Ele pegou seu produto e espalhou-o na \u00e1gua, depois ficou sobre ele enquanto segurava o \u00edcone nas m\u00e3os. Ent\u00e3o ele caminhou rapidamente sobre a \u00e1gua contra a corrente. Quando o povo de Murom viu este milagre, gritou em l\u00e1grimas: \u201c\u00d3 santo bispo de Deus, Bas\u00edlio, perdoe seus servos pecadores!\u201d Desta forma, o bispo chegou a Ryazan, onde recebeu uma generosa recep\u00e7\u00e3o, e o povo pediu-lhe que ficasse com eles. Desde ent\u00e3o, a S\u00e9 Murom mudou-se para Ryazan, e o \u00edcone da M\u00e3e de Deus ainda est\u00e1 l\u00e1 na catedral at\u00e9 hoje.<\/p>\n<p>O santo passou alguns anos em paz em Ryazan e depois teve que fugir para Paraislavl devido \u00e0 invas\u00e3o t\u00e1rtara. L\u00e1 ele descansou em paz no ano de 1295. Em 10 de junho de 1609, descobriu-se que seus restos mortais n\u00e3o haviam sido dissolvidos.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m de sua festa, 3 de julho, ele tem v\u00e1rios dias de festa na Igreja Russa (a descoberta de seus restos mortais, uma festa abrangente para os santos de Ryazan, uma festa para o santo e o \u00edcone) (12 de abril, 21 de maio , 5 de junho, 10 de junho e 10 de julho).
