Por que pedimos a intercess\u00e3o dos santos? Cristo n\u00e3o ordenou que or\u00e1ssemos somente a Deus e n\u00e3o aos santos? Os santos podem ouvir e responder \u00e0s nossas ora\u00e7\u00f5es quando est\u00e3o mortos? Existe outro Salvador al\u00e9m de Cristo? Por que precisamos de mediadores entre n\u00f3s e Cristo?<\/p>\n

Existe intercess\u00e3o pelos santos? Esta \u00e9 uma quest\u00e3o tradicional para quase todos os protestantes e para outros que n\u00e3o conhecem bem a B\u00edblia e a Igreja, especialmente porque o conceito da intercess\u00e3o dos santos tem sido contaminado por cren\u00e7as e supersti\u00e7\u00f5es populares ao longo dos tempos. Procuremos responder brevemente, citando alguns exemplos b\u00edblicos, mas n\u00e3o todos, e apoiando-nos tanto quanto poss\u00edvel na B\u00edblia para que a resposta chegue ao maior n\u00famero poss\u00edvel de leitores.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Em Lucas 20:37-38, o Senhor Jesus mostra que Abra\u00e3o, Isaque e Jac\u00f3 est\u00e3o vivos com Deus e n\u00e3o mortos, porque Deus \u201cn\u00e3o \u00e9 o Deus dos mortos, mas o Deus dos vivos, porque com Ele todos est\u00e3o vivo." A par\u00e1bola do rico e L\u00e1zaro (Lucas 16:19-31) mostra que o rico n\u00e3o se esqueceu dos seus irm\u00e3os mesmo depois da sua morte. Na Transfigura\u00e7\u00e3o do Senhor no monte (Mateus 17: 1-9), parece que Mois\u00e9s n\u00e3o estava morto como entendemos a morte, mas antes estava vivo e conversando com Jesus. Na carta de Paulo aos Filipenses 1:23-24 ele diz: \u201cTenho desejo de partir e estar com Cristo, o que \u00e9 muito melhor. 24 Mas \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio que eu permane\u00e7a no corpo por causa de voc\u00eas\u201d. Se, ap\u00f3s a sua morte, uma pessoa entrasse num estado inconsciente, como o sono ou o sono, Paulo n\u00e3o teria preferido morrer e \u201cdormir\u201d e tornar-se \u201cinconsciente\u201d, mas certamente teria preferido permanecer vivo em comunh\u00e3o consciente com Cristo. . No livro do Apocalipse, Jo\u00e3o viu vinte e quatro anci\u00e3os \u201cprostrando-se... e adorando Aquele que vive para sempre\u201d (Apocalipse 4:4-10). Esses anci\u00e3os s\u00e3o aqueles que o Cordeiro comprou com Seu sangue de toda tribo, l\u00edngua, povo e na\u00e7\u00e3o (Apocalipse 5:9). Portanto, esses anci\u00e3os n\u00e3o s\u00e3o anjos, mas seres humanos santos, oferecendo incenso, que s\u00e3o as ora\u00e7\u00f5es dos santos (Apocalipse 5:8). Al\u00e9m disso, Jo\u00e3o disse: \u201cAs almas daqueles que foram mortos por causa da palavra de Deus e por causa do testemunho que deram\u201d (Apocalipse 6:9). Essas almas estavam em estado de sono e inconsci\u00eancia? Claro que n\u00e3o. Porque o texto diz: \u201cE clamaram em alta voz, dizendo: \u2018At\u00e9 quando, \u00f3 Senhor, santo e verdadeiro, n\u00e3o julgar\u00e1s e vingar\u00e1s o nosso sangue daqueles que habitam na terra? (Apocalipse 6:10)? Mas Jo\u00e3o acrescenta: \u201cE eis que uma grande multid\u00e3o, que ningu\u00e9m podia contar, de todas as na\u00e7\u00f5es, e tribos, e povos, e l\u00ednguas, estava diante do trono... e clamava, dizendo: A salva\u00e7\u00e3o pertence ao nosso Deus que est\u00e1 assentado no trono, e ao Cordeiro... Am\u00e9m.\u201d B\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o, gl\u00f3ria, sabedoria e a\u00e7\u00e3o de gra\u00e7as... ao nosso Deus para todo o sempre\u201d (Apocalipse 7:9-11). Esta grande multid\u00e3o \u201cs\u00e3o aqueles que sa\u00edram da grande tribula\u00e7\u00e3o e lavaram as suas vestes e as branquearam no sangue do Cordeiro. Por isso est\u00e3o diante do trono de Deus e O servem dia e noite no Seu templo, e Aquele que est\u00e1 assentado no trono habitar\u00e1 acima deles\u201d (Apocalipse 7:14-15). Portanto, todos os santos que adormeceram em Cristo est\u00e3o \u201cdiante do trono de Deus\u201d, vivos, prostrados diante dele e clamando a ele, e n\u00e3o se esquecendo dos que est\u00e3o na terra\u201d (Apocalipse 6:10). Onde est\u00e3o as ora\u00e7\u00f5es dos santos aqui? \u00c9 apresentado por um anjo com incenso \u201cno altar de ouro que est\u00e1 diante do trono\u201d (Ap 8:3-4). Observe aqui a liturgia da igreja no c\u00e9u e a liturgia realizada aqui na terra faz parte dela!<\/p>\n

Mas os oponentes dizem:<\/span> S\u00e3o Paulo fala dos mortos como aqueles que adormeceram (Tessalonicenses 4:13) e, portanto, aqueles que adormeceram n\u00e3o podem nos ouvir. No texto aqui citado, Paulo fala aos que perderam algu\u00e9m pela morte a fim de confort\u00e1-los para que n\u00e3o sofram como os demais que n\u00e3o t\u00eam esperan\u00e7a (1 Tessalonicenses 4:13). Para n\u00f3s, os vivos, os mortos jazem aqui sem vida, incapazes de ouvir ou se mover. Isto \u00e9 em termos do aspecto f\u00edsico, mas eles est\u00e3o espiritualmente vivos com Deus.<\/p>\n

Como sabemos que eles est\u00e3o vivos com Deus? Al\u00e9m do acima exposto, consideremos os seguintes pontos: Jesus diz: \u201cEu sou a ressurrei\u00e7\u00e3o e a vida. Quem cr\u00ea em mim, ainda que morra, viver\u00e1\u201d (Jo\u00e3o 11:25). \u201c...mas ele j\u00e1 passou da morte para a vida\u201d (Jo\u00e3o 5:24). Dormir significa dormir, como os ap\u00f3stolos entenderam quando Jesus lhes disse que L\u00e1zaro havia adormecido. Visto que sua alma retornar\u00e1 para ele como filha de Jairo (Lucas 8:55). A morte aqui \u00e9 sono porque L\u00e1zaro ressuscitar\u00e1. Ele est\u00e1 vivo, n\u00e3o morto. Mas se Deus \u00e9 o Deus dos vivos e n\u00e3o o Deus dos mortos, ent\u00e3o como podem aqueles que cr\u00eaem em Cristo morrer? Est\u00e1 claro aqui que a morte ainda n\u00e3o \u00e9 morte. Todos os crist\u00e3os morrer\u00e3o fisicamente. Mas eles n\u00e3o morrem espiritualmente. A morte os separa fisicamente dos vivos aqui, mas n\u00e3o os separa espiritualmente de Deus. Somente o pecado nos separa de Deus. Al\u00e9m disso, como todos os crist\u00e3os s\u00e3o membros da Igreja, o \u00fanico corpo de Cristo, \u201cnem a morte nem a vida... poder\u00e3o separar-nos do amor de Deus\u201d (Romanos 8:38-39). Visto que \u201co amor nunca falha\u201d (1 Cor\u00edntios 13:8), a morte n\u00e3o tem poder sobre n\u00f3s. Cristo venceu a morte pela sua morte.<\/p>\n

A quest\u00e3o aqui \u00e9: mesmo que aqueles que adormeceram em Cristo estejam vivos com Deus, com base em que oramos aos santos pedindo a sua intercess\u00e3o? <\/strong><\/p>\n

S\u00e3o Paulo diz:<\/span> \u201cEm primeiro lugar, pe\u00e7o que sejam feitas s\u00faplicas, ora\u00e7\u00f5es, intercess\u00f5es e a\u00e7\u00f5es de gra\u00e7as por todos os povos\u201d (1 Tim\u00f3teo 2:1). Se Paulo estivesse pedindo a todos os crist\u00e3os que orassem por todas as pessoas, quanto mais ele pediria aos santos que vieram antes de n\u00f3s, especialmente porque eles est\u00e3o mais pr\u00f3ximos de Cristo, como S\u00e3o Paulo testemunha sobre si mesmo (Filipenses 1:23-24). A morte n\u00e3o nos separa daqueles que adormeceram e de Cristo, como descobrimos. Vimos com S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Te\u00f3logo como as ora\u00e7\u00f5es dos santos s\u00e3o oferecidas com incenso diante do trono do Senhor no c\u00e9u (Apocalipse 8:3 e 5:8). Portanto, se pedirmos aos santos que orem por n\u00f3s, estamos cumprindo o mandamento do Ap\u00f3stolo (1 Tim\u00f3teo 2:1), e estamos confiantes de que Cristo ouvir\u00e1 essas ora\u00e7\u00f5es porque elas s\u00e3o apresentadas diante do Seu trono celestial (Apocalipse 8:3). .<\/p>\n

Aqui os oponentes podem dizer:<\/span> A B\u00edblia n\u00e3o disse: \u201cPorque h\u00e1 um s\u00f3 Deus e um s\u00f3 mediador entre Deus e os homens, o homem Jesus Cristo\u201d (1 Tim\u00f3teo 2:5). Por que pedimos outro mediador e temos a media\u00e7\u00e3o de Jesus? Perguntamos por sua vez: O que Paulo quer dizer aqui com a palavra \u201cmediador\u201d? Ele n\u00e3o est\u00e1 falando sobre a media\u00e7\u00e3o da ora\u00e7\u00e3o, mas sobre a reconcilia\u00e7\u00e3o entre o homem ca\u00eddo e Deus atrav\u00e9s de Jesus Cristo, que, sendo Deus, tornou-se homem para realizar esta reconcilia\u00e7\u00e3o. Se Paulo quis dizer que n\u00e3o h\u00e1 intercessor na ora\u00e7\u00e3o exceto Jesus, ent\u00e3o por que ele exigiu que as ora\u00e7\u00f5es fossem feitas por todas as pessoas (1 Tim\u00f3teo 2:5)? Por que Paulo me pede para orar pelos outros? Os outros n\u00e3o podem orar por si mesmos? Claro que podem, mas Deus quer que sejamos uma unidade atrav\u00e9s da ora\u00e7\u00e3o, por isso pedimos aos santos, aos vivos e \u00e0queles que vieram antes de n\u00f3s, que orem por n\u00f3s. Na verdade, aqueles que est\u00e3o no c\u00e9u podem orar mais por n\u00f3s sem interrup\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Mas por que devo pedir aos santos que intercedam e orem por mim? A B\u00edblia n\u00e3o diz que somente Cristo \u00e9 o Salvador e, portanto, por que n\u00e3o oro somente a Ele, porque Ele certamente me ouvir\u00e1? Direi esta pergunta ao pr\u00f3prio Paulo e pergunto: Por que, Paulo, voc\u00ea quer que eu ore por todas as pessoas (1 Tim\u00f3teo 2:5)? As pessoas n\u00e3o podem orar por si mesmas?<\/p>\n

Primeiro, \u00e9 claro, somente Cristo \u00e9 o Salvador. Mas n\u00e3o podemos negligenciar a comunh\u00e3o e a intercess\u00e3o dos santos, porque o pr\u00f3prio Cristo quer que fa\u00e7amos isso. Por um lado, Cristo \u00e9 o Salvador, mas a B\u00edblia diz:<\/p>\n

O crist\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 salvo (Tiago 5:20; Judas 22:23); S\u00e3o Paulo salva (Romanos 11:14); A prega\u00e7\u00e3o salva (1 Cor\u00edntios 1:21; 1 Tim\u00f3teo 4:16); O batismo salva (1 Pedro 3:21); A ora\u00e7\u00e3o salva (Tiago 5:15); Anjos salvam (Isa\u00edas 63:9).<\/p>\n

Como todas essas pessoas podem ser salvas? Voc\u00ea os guardou? Ou pela sua piedade? Claro, em Cristo, em Cristo e com Cristo, e sem Cristo n\u00e3o h\u00e1 salva\u00e7\u00e3o. Da mesma forma, as ora\u00e7\u00f5es dos santos nos salvam somente por meio de Cristo, porque o pr\u00f3prio Cristo disse: \u201cSe voc\u00ea permanecer em mim, e minhas palavras permanecerem em voc\u00ea, voc\u00ea pedir\u00e1 o que quiser, e isso ser\u00e1 feito para voc\u00ea\u201d (Jo\u00e3o 15:7). Isto \u00e9, se os santos pedirem por n\u00f3s em ora\u00e7\u00e3o ao Senhor, o Senhor os responder\u00e1. Portanto, a intercess\u00e3o dos santos por n\u00f3s cumpre o mandamento do Senhor de amar uns aos outros (Jo\u00e3o 15:12) e de orar juntos (Mateus 18:19; 1 Tim\u00f3teo 2:1; Colossenses 4:2-4; Ef\u00e9sios 6:18 ). Ningu\u00e9m \u00e9 salvo sozinho na Ortodoxia. Pois somos todos um s\u00f3 corpo, uma s\u00f3 f\u00e9 e uma s\u00f3 ora\u00e7\u00e3o, e ningu\u00e9m \u00e9 perfeito sem os outros (Hebreus 11:39-40). A f\u00e9 em Cristo nos leva ao batismo, para que nos tornemos membros do corpo de Cristo, a Igreja. Por um lado, oramos a Deus e, por outro lado, pedimos aos crist\u00e3os na terra e no c\u00e9u que orem por n\u00f3s (. interceder) junto a Cristo pela salva\u00e7\u00e3o de nossas almas. \u00c9 assim que conseguimos ser um em Cristo, como o pr\u00f3prio Cristo pediu a Deus Pai (Jo\u00e3o 17:21)...<\/p>\n

Por outro lado, a intercess\u00e3o dos santos n\u00e3o pode ser desculpa para a nossa neglig\u00eancia e ina\u00e7\u00e3o na vida de f\u00e9 e ora\u00e7\u00e3o. A grande lacuna entre a Ortodoxia e as heresias ocidentais \u00e9 a teologia da Igreja. Ou todos regressam ao luteranismo original, ou permanecem, a meu ver, fragmentos dispersos que n\u00e3o correspondem \u00e0s descri\u00e7\u00f5es da Igreja: una, santa, universal e apost\u00f3lica. Jesus nos ordenou que or\u00e1ssemos por nossos inimigos. Isso \u00e9 perfei\u00e7\u00e3o no amor. Sa\u00edmos do nosso ego\u00edsmo e da nossa concha.
