Num\u0103rul de adep\u021bi ai acestei biserici \u00een Rom\u00e2nia a ajuns la aproximativ 19 milioane de oameni, sau 86,8% din popula\u021bie (conform datelor recens\u0103m\u00e2ntului din 2002), pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 un num\u0103r mare pe teritoriul Moldovei, \u0219i aproximativ un milion \u00een afara Rom\u00e2niei. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Biserica isi are originea in Romania de catre Sfantul Apostol Andrei, care a ajuns in Muntii Carpati si fluviul Dunare. Pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 doi episcopi rom\u00e2ni \u0219i episcopi din afara Rom\u00e2niei.<\/p>\n<p>Pentru ca orice preot s\u0103 slujeasc\u0103 \u00een Capital\u0103, trebuie s\u0103 fi slujit la sate 10 ani sau s\u0103 fi ob\u021binut un doctorat \u00een teologie.<\/p>\n<p>Episcopii sunt ale\u0219i dintre c\u0103lug\u0103rii din m\u0103n\u0103stiri, de preferin\u021b\u0103 cei care au un doctorat \u00een teologie. Dintre episcopii Patriarhiei Rom\u00e2ne, doar doi nu au aceast\u0103 diplom\u0103 teologic\u0103.<\/p>\n<p>Din 2004, \u00een Rom\u00e2nia exist\u0103 15 colegii teologice \u00een cadrul Universit\u0103\u021bii din Bucure\u0219ti, care includ peste zece mii de studen\u021bi absolven\u021bi ai universit\u0103\u021bilor \u0219tiin\u021bifice, care studiaz\u0103 teologia academic\u0103, dintre care unii se preg\u0103tesc pentru a ob\u021bine titlul de doctor.<\/p>\n<p>Se remarc\u0103 faptul c\u0103 acest progres \u0219tiin\u021bific \u0219i teologic a crescut dup\u0103 ce \u021bara \u0219i Biserica au fost eliberate de influen\u021ba comunist\u0103 abia acum aproximativ 18 ani.<\/p>\n<p>Printre cei mai importan\u021bi teologi produ\u0219i de Biserica Roman\u0103 se num\u0103r\u0103:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>P\u0103rintele Dimitri Staniloy (1903-1993) este considerat unul dintre cei mai mari teologi ai secolului XX la nivelul bisericilor cre\u0219tine.
