Istoricul evreu Flavius Josephus, care este principala autoritate \u00een treburile evreilor din acea vreme, a men\u021bionat aceste patru secte: saducheii, fariseii, esenii-esenii \u0219i zelo\u021bii. Cele dou\u0103 grupuri de farisei \u0219i saduchei au alc\u0103tuit ceea ce putem numi religia oficial\u0103 evreiasc\u0103. Celelalte dou\u0103 grupuri au fost mai pu\u021bin influente la nivel oficial, de\u0219i nu erau mai pu\u021bin reprezentative pentru grupuri largi din cadrul religiei \u00eens\u0103\u0219i.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>La acea vreme, istoria iudaismului oficial era dominat\u0103 de rivalitatea dintre saduchei \u0219i farisei. Saducheii erau purt\u0103torii de cuv\u00e2nt al aristocra\u021biei preo\u021be\u0219ti, a\u0219a c\u0103 erau dornici s\u0103 p\u0103streze ordinea existent\u0103 \u0219i erau complici cu ocupa\u021bia roman\u0103 a \u021b\u0103rii. Cert este c\u0103 ei s-au num\u0103rat printre cei mai importan\u021bi care s-au \u00eempotrivit lui Isus \u0219i l-au \u00eendemnat pe guvernatorul, Pon\u021biu Pilat, s\u0103 ia decizia de a-l r\u0103stigni. Josephus a scris c\u0103 ei negau existen\u021ba oric\u0103rei vie\u021bi viitoare \u0219i aceasta este ceea ce a afirmat clar Noul Testament c\u00e2nd a afirmat c\u0103 ei au negat \u00eenvierea. Fariseii s-au adunat \u00eentr-un grup strict, introvertit, iar aceasta a fost o form\u0103 de protest \u00eempotriva apatiei cet\u0103\u021benilor lor. Apoi au ie\u0219it treptat din izolare \u0219i au putut s\u0103-\u0219i extind\u0103 influen\u021ba asupra \u00eentregii lumi evreie\u0219ti, \u00een Palestina \u0219i nu numai. Dup\u0103 distrugerea Ierusalimului \u00een anul 70 d.Hr., fariseismul \u0219i iudaismul au devenit un singur lucru \u0219i nu exist\u0103 nicio \u00eendoial\u0103 c\u0103 iudaismul \u00ee\u0219i datoreaz\u0103 supravie\u021buirea p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een zilele noastre fariseilor.<\/p>\n<p>Evangheliile \u00eei descriu pe farisei ca fiind ipocri\u021bi, ag\u0103\u021ba\u021bi de formalit\u0103\u021bi \u0219i scrut\u00e2nd cele mai mici chestiuni. Aceast\u0103 precizie excesiv\u0103 \u0219i steril\u0103 era evlavie \u00een\u0103bu\u0219itoare. Datorit\u0103 ader\u0103rii lor puternice la litera legii Sharia, ei au neglijat spiritul acesteia \u0219i au echivalat obliga\u021biile morale \u0219i umanitare majore cu detaliile hot\u0103r\u00e2rilor religioase. \u0218i, din m\u00e2ndrie \u00een cunoa\u0219terea legii, ei au anulat porunca lui Dumnezeu sub greutatea tradi\u021biilor lor omene\u0219ti \u0219i i-au dispre\u021buit pe cei ignoran\u021bi, \u00een numele sfin\u021beniei lor personale, a\u0219a cum se spune \u00een citirea Evangheliei din aceast\u0103 zi, cunoscut\u0103 \u00een biserica noastr\u0103. ca \u201eDuminica fariseului \u0219i a vame\u0219ului\u201d (Luca 18:10-14).<\/p>\n<p>Fariseii au denun\u021bat orice contact cu p\u0103c\u0103to\u0219ii \u0219i colectorii de taxe \u0219i au restr\u00e2ns dragostea lui Dumnezeu \u00een limitele grupului lor. Mai degrab\u0103, ei au ajuns p\u00e2n\u0103 la punctul de a crede c\u0103 au drepturi asupra lui Dumnezeu \u00een virtutea \u00eendeplinirii practicilor religioase. Apostolul Pavel, care a fost unul dintre ei \u00eenainte de a se converti la Hristos (Fapte 26:5), \u00eei critic\u0103 aspru p\u00e2n\u0103 la punctul de a-i acuza c\u0103 \u201enumele lui Dumnezeu este hulit \u00eentre neamuri din pricina voastr\u0103\u201d (Romani 2: 24). Printre ace\u0219tia amintim, de exemplu, pe Apostolul Pavel \u0219i pe Nicodim, care veneau noaptea la el (Ioan 3).
