Det \u00e4r b\u00e4ttre att bara fokusera p\u00e5 det faktum att kyrkan ville etablera, som vi h\u00e4vdar i gryningsb\u00f6nen, (en modell f\u00f6r omv\u00e4ndelse). Det \u00e4r en symbol f\u00f6r omv\u00e4ndelse, omv\u00e4ndelse och \u00e5tstramning. Den h\u00e4r sista s\u00f6ndagen i fastan uttrycker den den sista och mest angel\u00e4gna inbjudan som kyrkan riktar till oss f\u00f6re passionens och den heliga uppst\u00e5ndelsens dagar.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Budskapet som reciteras vid m\u00e4ssan (Hebr\u00e9erna 9:11-14) j\u00e4mf\u00f6r Kristi tj\u00e4nst med den hebreiske \u00f6verstepr\u00e4stens tj\u00e4nst. Denna man gick in, en g\u00e5ng om \u00e5ret, in i det allra heligaste, men Kristus (gick en g\u00e5ng in i det heligaste och erh\u00f6ll evig \u00e5terl\u00f6sning). \u00d6verstepr\u00e4sten renade de troende och helgade dem genom att st\u00e4nka offrens blod och aska p\u00e5 dem. (Hur mycket mer skall Kristi blod, som genom den eviga Anden offra sig till Gud utan smutskastning, rena era samveten fr\u00e5n jordiska g\u00e4rningar, s\u00e5 att ni kan tillbe den levande Guden?)<\/p>\n<p>Evangeliet (Mark 10:32-45) beskriver Jesu himmelsf\u00e4rd mot Jerusalem, innan hans passion. Jesus skilde sig fr\u00e5n de tolv l\u00e4rjungarna och b\u00f6rjade ber\u00e4tta f\u00f6r dem att han skulle bli f\u00f6rr\u00e5dd, d\u00f6md, d\u00f6dad och uppst\u00e5nden. P\u00e5 tr\u00f6skeln till den heliga veckan, faller det oss in att Fr\u00e4lsaren avsk\u00e4rmar oss f\u00f6r ett intimt samtal d\u00e4r han f\u00f6rklarar f\u00f6r oss \u00e5terl\u00f6sningens hemlighet? Ber vi M\u00e4staren att introducera oss djupare i vad som h\u00e4nder f\u00f6r oss p\u00e5 Golgata? Ger vi Jesus m\u00f6jligheten till ett s\u00e5dant hemligt samtal? S\u00f6ker vi dessa tillf\u00e4llen att m\u00f6ta Herren?<\/p>\n<p>Sedan, se, Sebedaios tv\u00e5 s\u00f6ner gick fram till Jesus och bad honom att sitta i hans h\u00e4rlighet, den ene p\u00e5 hans h\u00f6gra sida och den andra p\u00e5 hans v\u00e4nstra sida. S\u00e5 Jesus st\u00e4llde till dem \u2013 och han st\u00e4ller oss ocks\u00e5 \u2013 denna fr\u00e5ga: (Kan ni dricka den b\u00e4gare som jag ska dricka?). Sedan f\u00f6rklarade l\u00e4raren f\u00f6r l\u00e4rjungarna att sann storhet ligger i tj\u00e4nst: (M\u00e4nniskosonen kom inte f\u00f6r att bli tj\u00e4nad, utan f\u00f6r att tj\u00e4na och ge sitt liv som en l\u00f6sen f\u00f6r m\u00e5nga).<\/p>\n<p>Kv\u00e4llen den h\u00e4r femte s\u00f6ndagen i fastan ger en glimt av ljus f\u00f6r att inleda den stora veckan, n\u00e4sta s\u00f6ndag. N\u00e4sta s\u00f6ndag \u00e4r det Lasarus s\u00f6ndag, som Jesus uppv\u00e4ckte. Aftonb\u00f6nen som h\u00e5lls p\u00e5 kv\u00e4llen den femte s\u00f6ndagen i fastan f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ger att Lasarus uppv\u00e4cktes fr\u00e5n de d\u00f6da genom att h\u00e4nvisa till Lasarus, den fattige mannen i evangeliets liknelse (Luk 16:19-31).<\/p>\n<p>(Best\u00e4ll mig med den fattige Lasarus och r\u00e4dda mig fr\u00e5n den rike mannens straff... L\u00e5t oss k\u00e4nna empati med hans uth\u00e5llighet och t\u00e5lamod.) Kyrkan, eftersom hon i viss mening \u00e4r angel\u00e4gen om att g\u00e5 in i de allra heligaste dagarna som b\u00f6rjar n\u00e4sta vecka, uppmanar oss denna s\u00f6ndag att g\u00e5 till h\u00f6gtiden som vi kommer att fira sju dagar senare: (L\u00e5t oss sjunga Palmens lovs\u00e5ng). S\u00f6ndagsoffer, till Herren som kommer i \u00e4ra till Jerusalem, f\u00f6r att d\u00f6da d\u00f6den genom hans gudoms kraft L\u00e5t oss f\u00f6rbereda segerns fanor med god tillbedjan och ropa: &quot;Hosanna till allas skapare.&quot;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a name=\"(20)\" href=\"#20\">(20)<\/a> P\u00e5 500-talet, n\u00e4ra Soka-klostret i Egypten, hedrade turister graven till en helig kvinna som hette Maria, som hade levt i vildmarken som en enst\u00f6ring och \u00e5ngerfull. Detta \u00e4r allt vi kan s\u00e4ga historiskt. P\u00e5 700-talet skrev den Jerusalemsiske patriarken Sophronius en biografi om Maria av Egypten som inte var baserad p\u00e5 n\u00e5gon godtagbar historisk k\u00e4lla, och den blev grunden f\u00f6r senare popul\u00e4rlitteratur i \u00e4mnet.<\/p>\n<p>Enligt dessa traditioner omv\u00e4ndes Maria efter att ha tillbringat \u00e5r av liv i synd och tillbringat fyrtiosju \u00e5r i vildmarken,
