1:21 Now he who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. 23 But I call God to witness against myself, that to spare you I did not come to Corinth. 24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we are fellow workers in your joy, for it is by faith that you stand.
2:1 But I determined this within myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow. 2 For if I make you sorrowful, who is he who makes me glad but the one whom I make sad? 3 And I have written this very thing to you, so that when I come I may not have sorrow on account of those over whom I ought to have rejoiced, being confident of you all that my joy is the joy of you all. 4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love I have especially toward you.
the explanation:
The preaching of the Apostle Paul bore fruit in the city of Corinth, and a group of believers in the Lord Jesus arose and formed a church. After the departure of the Apostle, Judaizing missionaries came and incited the believers against Paul, so the group split and some deviated from the faith, and tension prevailed in their relationship with the Apostle. This prompted the Apostle to make several visits to the city and to send a series of letters to address the problems. Today's letter falls within the context of the last letter, in which the Apostle expresses his joy at the end of the crisis and the return of the believers, repentant, to the life of sound faith.
” يا اخوة إن الذي يثبتنا معكم في المسيح وقد مسحنا هو الله”. هذا تأكيد ان ايمان الكورنثيين هو نتيجة عمل الله. بشارة الرسول ارست المدخل لله لتبديل حياة السامعين، والثبات في المسيح اتى نتيجة هذا التدخل الإلهي. الرسول اذاً واسطة، اما الفعل فهو لله.
“الذي ختمنا ايضا واعطى عربون الروح في قلوبنا”. الختم إشارة الى المعمودية اذ بها يُختم المؤمن بختم الله ويكون الختم العلامة المميزة التي تشير الى ان حاملها هو ملك لله. اذا بالايمان جعلنا الله ملكا له وبالمعمودية افاض علينا الروح القدس بمثابة عربون وألزم به نفسه تجاه المؤمنين لأنه بالمعمودية تتم الوعود الإلهية وتفيض النعمة للخلاص.
The common denominator among all believers is God’s work in Christ and the seal, and the bond between believers is the person of the Lord Jesus. In this way, the relationship between believers is solid, stable and unshakable. For this reason, the apostle hastens to solve problems and settle situations, because their exacerbation is a destruction of God’s work and not merely an attack on the person of the apostle.
“واني استشهد الله على نفسي اني لاشفاقي عليكم لم آت ايضا الى كورنثوس”. عندما علم الرسول بالاوضاع المتوترة قام بزيارة خاطفة الى المدينة (انظر2 كورنثوس 12: 14 و 13 :1-2) آملا إصلاح الوضع، لكن الامور ازدادت تفاقما واضطر الى المغادرة خائبا بعد ان وعدهم بالعودة قريبا. لكنه اشفاقا عليهم ارجأ موعد الزيارة وذلك خوفا من ان يؤدي التوتر في علاقتهم الشخصية معه الى قطع علاقتهم بالله وبالرب يسوع المسيح وبذلك يفقدون خلاصهم. لذلك قال لهم: لم آت إشفاقا عليكم “لا لانا نسود على ايمانكم”. اي لسنا اصحاب سلطة عليكم اذ لسنا اساس ايمانكم ومنطلقه “بل نحن اعوان سروركم” اي رفقاء تعاون فيما بيننا ونعضد بعضنا البعض “ولانكم ثابتون على الايمان”، ذلك لان الله هو اساس الايمان وليس الرسول.
“وقد جزمت بهذا في نفسي ان لا آتيكم ايضا في غم”. تمهل الرسول على رجاء ان تخمد حدة التوتر كما انه لم يرد ان يُحزن المؤمنين في كورنثوس فإن مهمته مهمة فرح وبهجة للجميع، لذلك قال “لاني إن كنت أغمكم فمن الذي يسرني غير من اسبب له الغم؟”.
“وإنما كتبت اليكم هذا بعينه… من شدة كآبة وكرب قلب، كتبت اليكم بدموع كثيرة…”. تمهل الرسول بالزيارة، وفي الاثناء كتب اليهم رسالة مفعمة بعبارات التقويم ومشحونة بتوبيخ صارم تدحض كل الافتراءات وتظهر باجلى بيان صدق الرسول وامانته وبالاكثرمحبته وسهره على خلاصهم (انظر 2 كورنثوس الاصحاح 10-13). سادت هذه الرسالة مسحة جلية من الدموع، فالرسول كتبها بقلب محطم ومحبته اضطرته الى الصرامة والشدة اذ لم يكن من حلّ آخر. حمل الرسالة معاونه تيطس الذي عمل على تهدئة الاوضاع اذ لاقت رسالة الدموع هذه مقرا في قلوب المؤمنين التائبين في كورنثوس الذين عادوا عن موقفهم وقوموا سلوكهم. لم يهدأ للرسول بالٌ حتى التقى تيطس الذي حمل له الخبر السار وعندها كتب الرسول اليهم مجددا معبرا عن فرحه وتعزيته (انظر 2 كورنثوس 1: 1-6) ومعلنا خبر زيارته المقبلة التي لن يسودها حزن.
