صلاة المطالبسي – صلاة قبل المناولة

Every believer who wishes to receive the Holy Mysteries must pray this prayer on the night of Communion.

Holy is God, Holy is the Powerful, Holy is the Immortal, have mercy on us (three times)

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and at all times and to the ages of ages, Amen.

O Holy Trinity, have mercy on us, O Lord, forgive our sins, O Lord, overlook our bad deeds, O Holy One, come forth and heal our diseases, for your name’s sake.

Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy,

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and at all times and to the ages of ages, Amen.

Our father in the skies. Hallowed be your name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. As in heaven so on earth. Give us our essential bread today. And leave to us what we owe, just as we leave it to those who owe it to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen
O Lord, have mercy (12 times)

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and at all times and to the ages of ages, Amen.

Come, let us prostrate and kneel before our King and our God.
Come, let us prostrate and kneel before Christ, our King and God.
Come, let us prostrate and kneel to Christ. This is our Lord, our King, and our God. (With three prostrations)

Psalm twenty-two
The Lord is my shepherd, I will not lack anything. In a green place there he made me dwell, by the water of the open water he raised me. Revive my soul and guide me to righteous paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walk in the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your staff and your staff comfort me. You have prepared a table before me for those who grieve me. You anointed my head with oil, and your cup intoxicates me like pure water. Your mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and make me dwell in the house of the Lord all the days.

Psalm twenty-three
The earth is the Lord’s in its entirety, the world and all who dwell in it. He founded them on the seas and prepared them on the rivers. Who ascends to the mountain of the Lord? Or who stands in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not carry himself to falsehood and does not swear to deceive his neighbor. This person will receive a blessing from the Lord and mercy from God his Savior. This is the generation of those who seek the Lord, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Lift up your gates, ye princes, and lift up ye eternal gates, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The mighty Lord, the mighty Lord in battle. Lift up your gates, ye princes, and lift up ye eternal gates, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? This Lord of hosts is the King of glory.

Psalm 115
I believed and therefore I spoke. And I was very humbled. I said in my confusion: Every human being is a liar. How can I repay the Lord for everything He has given me? I accept the cup of salvation and I pray in the name of the Lord. I fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. Precious in the hands of the Lord is the death of His righteous. O Lord, I am your servant. I am your servant and the son of your female servant. I cut my chains. To you I offer a sacrifice of praise, and I call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. In the courts of the house of the Lord and in your midst, O Jerusalem.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and at all times and to the ages of ages, Amen
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, glory be to you, O God (three times with three prostrations), O Lord, have mercy (three times)

And these troparias

O Lord, you who were born of a virgin. Turn away from my sins and purify my heart. And make it a temple of your pure body and your precious blood. Do not despise me before Your face, O possessor of great and immeasurable mercy.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
How can I, unworthy, come forward to partake of Your sanctities without immodesty? Because if I dare to approach you with those who are worthy, my clothing will make me cry because it is not the evening dress. And I cause my many sins to be denounced and condemned. So, O Lord, purify my soul from filth and save me, since You love mankind.

Now and at all times and forever and ever, Amen
My sins have multiplied many times, O Mother of God, so I turn to You, O Pure One, seeking salvation, so that I may comfort my weak soul. And intercede with your son and our God to grant me forgiveness for the wrongs that I have done, O blessed one alone.

On Holy Thursday we say this
When the glorious disciples were enlightened in the supper washing. Then Judah, the evil worshiper, became sick with his love of silver, and became unjust. And to the lawless judges, he delivered you, O just ruler, and handed you over. O lover of money, look at the one for whose sake I am forced to hang. And flee from the insatiable soul that dared to do this to the teacher. To you whose goodness encompasses all, O Lord, glory be to you.

God bless (forty times) And you can do whatever type of rubber you want

Then we say this Submissive Ikhwanat It teaches us how a person should approach the pure mysteries:

If you, O human, decide to eat the body of the Lord, approach with fear so that you do not catch fire, because it is fire. When you intend to drink the divine blood of communion, reconcile first with those who made you sad, then eat the secret food with confidence.

Before you partake of the awesome sacrifice, that is, the life-giving body of Christ, pray with trembling in this state:

The first poem by Saint Basil the Great
O Lord Jesus Christ our God, fountain of life and immortality. The Creator of all things visible and invisible. The Son of the Father, who has no beginning, is equal to Him in eternity and without beginning. O you who, due to the excess of your goodness, assumed a body in the last days. You were crucified and sacrificed for us, the Canodians and those who lack knowledge. With your own blood, you reshaped our nature, which was corrupted by sin. You, O undying king. Accept my repentance too, I am a sinner. Incline your ears to me and listen to my words. Because I sinned, Lord. I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am not worthy to gaze upon the height of your glory. Because I have angered your goodness by disobeying your commandments and disobeying your commands. But you, O Lord, are not spiteful, long-suffering, and abundant in mercy. You did not hand me over because I was destroyed by my sins, expecting my return anyway. Because, O Lover of mankind, you said through your Prophet: I do not want to prefer the death of the sinner until he comes back and lives. Because, O Master, you did not choose to destroy the creation of your hands, and you do not delight in the destruction of human beings. Rather, you want everyone to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore, even if I am not worthy of heaven, earth, or this temporal life. For I have subjected my entire soul to sin, worshiped myself, and neglected your image. But since I made you and formed you, I do not despair of my salvation. I am miserable. I move forward confident in your immeasurable compassion. So accept me too, O Christ who loves mankind, as you accepted the adulteress, the thief, the tax collector, and the prodigal son. And lift from me the heavy burden of sins, O You who lift the sins of the world and heal the diseases of mankind. O you who invite the tired and heavy-laden to you and comfort them. You who did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. And purify me from all impurities of body and spirit. And teach me to master holiness through your fear. So that if I receive the share of Your holiness with a pure testimony to my conscience, I will be united with Your holy body and Your precious blood. And I keep you residing and abiding in me with your Father and your Holy Spirit. Yes, Lord Jesus Christ, my God. It is not for me to receive your pure and life-giving secrets for trial. I do not become weak in soul and body by taking it unworthily. Rather, grant me, until my last breath, to accept without judgment the portion of Your holiness, for the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, for the provision of eternal life, and for a well-accepted answer at Your awesome pulpit. So that I too, with all Your chosen ones, may become a partner in Your incorruptible goodness that You have prepared for those who love You, O Lord. Whom you remain glorified for all eternity. Amen.

The Second Epiphany of Saint Basil the Great
I know, Lord, that I receive Your pure Body and Your precious Blood undeservedly. And I am his debtor, and I eat and drink as a condemnation to me, since I do not recognize your body and your blood, O Christ my God. But I am confident in your compassion, so I come to you who say: Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him. So have mercy on me, O Lord, and do not defame me, a sinner. But deal with me according to your mercy. May these holy things be for me to heal, purify, enlighten, preserve, save, and sanctify the soul and body. And to refute every imagining, ugly act, and satanic action effected by thought in my members. And to treat you and love you. And to evaluate the biography and its reliability. And for the growth and perfection of virtue. And to fulfill the commandments. And the company of the Holy Spirit. And to increase eternal life. And for an answer well accepted by your awesome pulpit. No trial or judgment.

The Third Epistle by Saint John Chrysostom
O Lord my God. I know that I am neither worthy nor qualified to enter under the roof of the house of my soul, because it is entirely desolate and fallen. There is no place for you to lay your head. But just as you humbled yourself, descending from the heights for us. Humble yourself now also because of my humility and humility. Just as you were content to lie in a cave and a manger for animals. Thus I accept that You enter into the manger of my bestial soul and my defiled body. Just as she did not refuse to enter and eat with sinners in the house of Simon the leper. Thus I accept that you enter into the house of my humiliated soul, I, the sinful leper. And just as you did not tell the story of my sinful adulteress when she came to you and touched your feet. Likewise, he had compassion on me, a sinner, as I came forward and touched you. Just as you did not despise the mouth of that abominable filth when it kissed you. Do not despise my mouth either, which is filthy and abominable, nor my abominable, impure and unclean lips, nor my filthy tongue. Rather, let the coals of your all-holy body and your precious blood become for me: to sanctify, enlighten, and health my humiliated soul and body. To ease the burden of my many sins. And to protect against every satanic act. And to nullify and prevent my malicious, bad habits. And to kill the passions. And to perfect your commandments. And to increase your divine grace. And to qualify for your kingdom. Because I am not approaching you, O Christ God, as one who despises you. Rather, since I am confident in your indescribable goodness. Lest, as long as I am away from your company, I become prey to the mental wolf. Therefore, I pray to you, O Master, since you alone are holy: sanctify my soul, my body, my mind, my heart, my kidneys, and my bowels. He renewed me completely. And instill your fear in my members. And make your sanctification indelible from me. And be my helper and supporter. And safely arrange my life. Make me worthy to stand at your right hand with your saints. Through the prayers and intercessions of the Most Pure Your Mother, your non-Holy servants, the pure powers, and all the saints who have pleased you since time immemorial. Amen.

The Fourth Epiphany of Saint John Chrysostom
O Lord, Master. I am not qualified for you to enter under the roof of my soul's house. But if you, since you are a lover of mankind, wish to dwell in me, then I will come forward confidently. If you command me to open the doors that you alone created. So you enter out of your love for humanity, as is your character. Come in and enlighten my dark mind. And I believe you will do it. You did not flee from the adulteress when she came to you in tears. Nor did I exclude the tax collector when he repented. Nor did you cast out the thief when he knew your kingdom. Do not leave the persecuted person as he was when he repented. But you counted among your loved ones all those who came to you in repentance. O You who alone remain blessed at all times, now and for endless ages. Amen.

The Fifth Epiphany of Saint John Chrysostom
O Lord Jesus Christ my God. Respect, forsake, be merciful and forgive me, your sinful, unemployed, and undeserving servant, for all my transgressions, transgressions, sins, and failures that I have committed against you since my youth until this present day and hour. Whether it was out of knowledge or out of ignorance on my part. Whether it is in words, actions, remembrances, thoughts, or imitations, and with all my senses. And through the intercession of your most pure and ever-virgin mother, Mary, who gave birth to you without seed, and who alone is my never-failing hope, my intercessor, and my salvation. Make me worthy to receive without judgment your pure, immortal, life-giving and awesome mysteries. To leave sins and have eternal life. To sanctify, enlighten, strengthen, heal and make my soul and body healthy. And to erase and annihilate my evil thoughts, perceptions, delusions, and night ghosts of evil dark spirits. Because yours is the kingdom, the power, the glory, the honor, and the prostration with your Father and your Holy Spirit. Now and at all times and forever and ever. Amen.

The sixth Epistle of Saint John of Damascus
O Master, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, who alone has the authority to forsake the sins of mankind, since You are good and lover of people. I turn away from all my mistakes, those committed with knowledge and those without knowledge. And make me worthy to receive without judgment your divine, glorious, pure, life-giving secrets. Neither to torment nor to increase my sins. Rather, for purification and sanctification, and as a pledge of the coming life and the expected king. A wall and an aid to refute the stubborn and erase my many sins. Because you are the God of mercy, compassion, and love for humanity. And to you we send glory with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and at all times and to the ages of ages. Amen.

The Seventh Epistle by Saint Simeon, a recent theologian
O Christ, accept a supplication from filthy lips, a rejected heart, an impure tongue, and a defiled soul. Do not reject my words, my character, or my rudeness. Rather, O Christ, grant me to speak out loudly about what I have seen. Rather, teach me what I should do and say. I have sinned more than the harlot who, when she knew where you were based, bought perfume and came with boldness to anoint your feet, O Christ, my Lord and my God. Just as she did not tell that, it came from the bottom of her heart. Do not cut me short, O Word. Rather, grant me to hold your feet, kiss them, and boldly anoint them with streams of tears, like very expensive ointment. Wash me with my tears and purify me with them, O Word. Forgive my transgressions and grant me forgiveness. For you also know the multitude of my evils, and know my wounds, and observe my words. But you also know my faith, see my activity, and hear my sighing. Not a drop or part of my tears is hidden from You, O my God, my Maker, and my Savior. Your eyes knew my lack of work. And in your Qur’an is written what I have not done yet. Look at my humility and fatigue, how great it is. And forgive me all my sins, O God of all. So that with a pure heart, a trembling mind, and a contrite soul, I may receive Your pure and all-pure Mysteries, through which everyone who eats and drinks them with a pure heart becomes divinized and lives. Because you said, O Lord: Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood, this one abides in me, and I will be in him. The words of my Lord and God are true in every case. Because whoever contributes to the divine and deifying blessings is not alone. God forbid. Rather, with you, O Christ, is the light of the triangle sun illuminating the world. So that I am not alone, separated from you, O giver of life, my breath, my life, my joy, and the salvation of the world. Therefore I come to you as you watch, with tears and a contrite soul. Asking me to seek salvation from my transgressions. I receive without judgment your life-giving secrets, innocent of blemish. So that you may remain steadfast with me, as I said, the miserable triangle. So that the deceiver does not find me separated from Your grace and kidnap me deceitfully and lead me astray, alienating me from Your deifying words. For this reason, I kneel before you and fervently cry out to you: Just as you accepted the prodigal son and the adulteress when she came to you, so accept me, O Compassionate One, the adulterer and the prodigal one. Because, O Savior, I come to you now with a contrite soul. I know that no one else has sinned against you as I have sinned, nor done the actions that I have done. But I also know this, that neither the greatness of sins nor the multitude of sins exceeds Your great long-suffering and Your utmost love for humanity, O my God. But you warmly purify and delight the repentant with the oil of lamentation and compassion, making them participants in the light and contributors to your divinity in abundance and generosity. What is surprising among angels and human delusions is that you negotiate many payments with them, like your special lovers. This, O Christ, makes me bold. This encourages me and makes me confident in your rich benevolence. So I eat the fire, rejoicing and trembling at the same time, because I am grass. This is a strange wonder. For I may become dehydrated in an indescribable condition, like a bush of old that was smoldering without burning. Therefore, with thankful determination, an alert heart, and the grateful members of my soul and body (I prostrate to you, magnify you, and glorify you, O my God, since you are blessed now and forever, Amen) three times

The Eighth Afshin by Saint Simeon the translator
O Lord Jesus Christ. God's wisdom, peace, and strength. O You alone are pure and imperishable. O you, for the sake of your indescribable compassion for humanity. Our dough was taken in all its perfection from the blood of the One who gave birth to you in a birth beyond the pure and virginal nature, with the flow of the Divine Spirit and the pleasure of the Eternal Father. O you who according to the complexion you received. I was satisfied with the life-giving sufferings: the cross, the nails, the spear, and death. The soul-corrupting pains of my body killed me. O you who buried you captivated the kingdom of hell. Bury with good thoughts my evil counsels, and disperse from me the spirits of evil. O You who, by Your three-day life-giving Resurrection, raised up the first grandfather who had fallen. Resurrect me, who was fallen into sin, and set for me the faces of repentance. O you who, by your glorious ascension, divinized the skin that you took and honored by sitting at the right hand of the Father. Allow me to receive your holy secrets so that I may receive the right fortune of the faithful. O you who, in the presence of the Comforter Spirit, made your pure disciples precious vessels. Show me a vessel for his roses. O you who are also about to come to judge the world with justice. Be satisfied, O my Maker and Maker, that I too receive you in the clouds with all your saints. So that without apathy I glorify you and praise you with your beginningless Father and your all-holy, good and life-giving Spirit, now and at all times and to the ages of ages. Amen.

The ninth poem by John Chrysostom
O Christ God. Ignore, abandon, and pardon all my sins that I have committed against you, whether by word, deed, or thought, voluntarily or involuntarily, knowingly or unknowingly. So pardon, pardon, and pardon me for all of them, since You are the righteous and the lover of mankind. And through the intercession of your Most Pure Mother, your rational servants, the Holy Forces, and all the saints who have pleased you since time immemorial. I am satisfied to accept your holy and pure body and your precious blood without condemnation. To heal the soul and body and erase my evil thoughts. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, with your Father and your Holy Spirit. Now and at all times and forever and ever. Amen.

The Tenth Afshin by Saint Simeon the translator
O Christ God. It is as if I am standing in front of your terrible pulpit, which has no respect for faces and demands a trial and accountability for the evils you have done. Thus, today, before the day of my judgment comes. I stand before your holy altar before you and before your awesome holy angels. Bowing down from my conscience, I present my evil deeds that violate the law, exposing them. So look, O Lord, humble yourself and leave all my sins. See, my sins have multiplied more than the hairs on my head. Because what evil you did. Whatever sin you have committed. How ugly I have never imagined it in myself. I have already committed adultery, immorality, pride, arrogance, cursing, blasphemy, idle talk, giggling, drunkenness, gluttony, arrogance, hatred, envy, love of silver, love of possessions, greed, love of self, love of glory, kidnapping, injustice, ugly gains. Jealousy, reprehensible, despicable, transgressing the Sharia. I have desecrated every one of my senses, and have corrupted and disabled every one of my organs, becoming altogether a storehouse of the impossible. And I know, Lord, that my sins have risen above my head. But the abundance of your compassion is inestimable, and the mercy of your righteousness that lacks evil is indescribable. There was no sin that overcame your love for humanity. Therefore, O wondrous King and long-suffering Lord, make your mercies amazing for me also, a sinner. Make clear in me the power of your goodness, show in me the power of your tender compassion, and accept me, a sinner, back. Accept me as you accepted the prodigal son, the thief, and the adulteress. Accept me, who have sinned against you more than they do exceedingly in word and deed, and in vile lust and bestial thought. Just as I accepted those at the eleventh hour without doing anything to qualify for that. So accept me, a sinner too. I have sinned greatly and become preoccupied with vices. I have grieved your Holy Spirit, and I have regretted your compassion for humanity. In word, deed and thought. At night and day. Outwardly and inwardly. Voluntarily and involuntarily. I know that You will hold my sins before me as they came from me and hold me accountable for the unforgivable sins that I knowingly committed. But, O Lord, do not rebuke me with your just judgment or with your anger, and do not discipline me with your anger. Have mercy on me, O Lord, because I am not only weak, but I created you. For you, O Lord, have established your fear in me, but as for me, I have done evil in your sight. Against you alone I have sinned. But I beg you not to enter into judgment with your servant. For if You are a watcher of iniquities, O Lord, O Lord, who can stand? Because I am the abyss of sin, and I am neither worthy nor competent to raise my eyes and stare at the height of heaven due to the multitude of my sins that are innumerable. Because all bad deeds, bad inventions, and satanic tricks. I mean the corruption, the flow, the relaxation, the corruption of events, the hatred, the counsel towards sin, the titillation, and countless other pains that have not gone away from me. Because which of the sins did I not become corrupted by? Or what kind of evil did not possess me? I have committed every sin and have committed every negligence in myself. I have been rejected by you, my God, and by people. Who will lift me up, who has fallen into such evil and such great sins? My Lord and my God, I trust in You. If I have the hope of salvation and your love for humanity overcomes the multitude of my sins. Be loyal to me. And according to your compassion and mercy, forgive me and forgive me for everything I have sinned against you. Because my soul is filled with many evils and there is no hope of salvation. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your great mercy, and do not reward me according to my deeds. But come back and help me. And save myself from the evil and evil illusions that arise within it. And save me for the sake of your mercy, so that where sin aggravates, your grace abounds. I will praise and glorify You at all times, all the days of my life. Because you are the God of the repentant and the Savior of sinners. To you we send glory with your beginningless Father and your all-holy, good and life-giving Spirit. Now and at all times and forever and ever. Amen.

The Eleventh Book of Saint John of Damascus
I have stood at the gates of your temple and have not departed from evil thoughts. But you, Christ God. O You who purified the tax collector and had mercy on the Canaanite woman and opened the gates of Paradise to the thief. Open to me the tenderness of your love for humanity. Accept me, coming towards you and touching you, like an adulteress and a woman bleeding. Because as for that one, by touching the hem of your dress, she received healing with the easiest path. As for the other, by setting your pure feet, she obtained absolution for her sins. As for me who is pitied, if I dare to kiss your body in its entirety, I will not be burned, but accept me like this. Illuminate the senses of my soul and inflame the germs of my sin with the intercessions of the One who gave birth to you without a seed and the heavenly powers. For you are blessed forever and ever. Amen.

The Twelfth Book of Saint John Chrysostom
I believe, Lord, and confess that you are in truth the Christ, the Son of the living God. And that you came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first. I also believe that this is your pure body itself and this is your precious blood itself. So I ask you to have mercy on me and forgive me for my transgressions, voluntary and involuntary. What is said and what is done. Which is based on knowledge and which is based on ignorance. And make me worthy to participate in your pure mysteries without condemnation for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Amen.

While you are going to take part, say these stichons, which are from Simeon the translator:

Here I am, seeking forward to divine fellowship. Don't burn me with your contribution, maker. For you are a fire that burns the undeserving. Rather, He cleansed me from every stain.

Accept me today as a partner in your Mystical Supper, O Son of God. Because I do not reveal your secret to your enemies. I will not give you a deceitful kiss like Judas, but like a thief I will confess to you, saying: Remember me, O Lord. Remember me, sir. Remember me, O Holy One, when you come into your kingdom.

Tremble, O man, when you see the deified blood, for it is embers that burn the undeserving.

The body of God deifies me and nourishes me. It deifies the soul and nourishes the mind in a strange way.

You have filled me with your longing, O Christ. You transformed me with your divine love. So burn my sins with incomprehensible fire. And make me worthy to be filled with your blessings. So that I rejoice, I magnify your presence, O righteous one.

In the splendor of your saints, how can I, the unworthy, enter? If I dared to enter the room with them. My dress makes me cry because it is not a wedding dress. And I will be expelled from the angels chained. So, O Lord, cleanse the filth of my soul. And save me since you are a lover of mankind.

Then this is Al-Afshin
O Master who loves mankind, Lord Jesus Christ, my God. Let these offerings not be for me a judgment because of my unworthiness. Rather, to purify and sanctify the soul and body. And for the pledge of the coming life and the future kingdom. As for me, it is good for me to cling to God and put my hope of salvation in the Lord.

Then we say
Accept me today as a partner in your Mystical Supper, O Son of God. Because I do not reveal your secret to your enemies. I will not give you a deceitful kiss like Judas, but like a thief I will confess to you, saying: Remember me, O Lord. Remember me, sir. Remember me, O Holy One, when you come into your kingdom.

Note: The believer who submits to Divine Communion must listen to the entire Divine Mass and not leave the church before receiving the priest’s blessing after the end of the Divine Mass.
