The main differences between Orthodoxy and Mormons

The founder of Mormonism is Joseph Smith, born in 1805 in the United States. He claimed prophethood and translated the “Book of Mormon” into English and published it in 1830 (see The Book of Mormon). In April 1830, the Mormon heresy was officially established under the name “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.” The doctrinal differences between Orthodoxy and Mormons are many fundamental ones. Here I mention some of them, for example:

  1. The source of Mormon education is the Book of Mormon first and the Bible second.
  2. The Mormon heresy, which splinters from the original branch, uses a new translation of the Bible (the Inspired Version) by Joseph Smith. In this translation, many additions, nonsense, and imaginary stories were introduced that are not found in the original texts of the Bible (see, for example, the Book of Genesis). It is practically a forgery.
  3. Mormons deny the Holy Trinity, and do not believe in one God in three persons. Although they use the names of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, they believe that the Father has flesh and bones like the Son.
  4. Mormons believe in polytheism. These gods were once human (like the Father and Son) on earth and then moved to a transcendent position in heaven.
  5. Every being exists from eternity as a spirit, like the persons of the Trinity, and then goes through a human stage in which it acquires a body, after which it moves to heaven. Thus, Mormons reduced God to the level of man, and man became exalted to the level of divinity, so that the difference between “God” and man is only in rank, not in nature.
  6. Mormons believe in the eternal existence of spirits, and that Adam was an eternal spirit named the archangel Michael before he descended to earth (Plato's influence).
  7. Mormons do not believe in creation ex nihilo. Material elements are eternal, like souls, and creation is nothing but a reorganization (Platonic teaching).
  8. Adam's fall was an act of blessing because it led to billions of eternal souls being provided with human bodies, and thus Adam's sin and fall are not a sin or a fall.
  9. The only difference between us and Christ is that Christ is the firstborn of Elohim (the Father), while we, in our eternal existence, were “born” after him. The difference between Christ and us is in degree, not in kind. Christ is no more divine than any of us. The demons are the children of Elohim, and therefore they are the brothers of Christ.
  10. Mormons practice baptism but not infant baptism, and use water instead of wine to commemorate the Last Supper.
  11. In Article 10 of the Articles of Faith, Mormons say: “We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and the restoration of the ten tribes, that Zion will be built on this continent, that Christ will personally rule over the earth, and that the earth will be renewed and attain its paradisiacal glory.” Mormons believe that the Jews will gather in Palestine in fulfillment of the prophecies of the prophets. They believe that the recent Jewish migrations to Israel are the fulfillment of these prophecies. They believe that the center of this gathering is Jerusalem, where it will be rebuilt before Christ returns. After Jesus returns to earth, there will be two capitals where he will rule during the millennium: Zion (defined by Mormons as the city of Independence in the American state of Missouri) and Jerusalem (Jerusalem) in Palestine.

In short, Mormonism is a Jewish-pagan-Hindu heresy (polytheism, the pre-existence of souls and the eternity of matter, the theory of the escalation of souls... etc.). It does not believe in the Christian Trinity (one God in three persons), and it destroys the person of Jesus, to whom glory is due, and does not believe in His divinity. It denies all other churches, believes in polytheism, and believes in the return of the Jews to Palestine. The Book of Mormon contains some of these teachings. Israel has the highest interest in creating such heresies and supporting them by all means in order to challenge Christianity and turn it into an obedient Jewish tool that calls for the divine right of the Jews to Palestine. (01). This is why Mormons are not related to Christianity except in name, but rather they are dangerous infidels.
