Spiritual fathers and mothers

Spiritual fathers and mothers, who were not declared saintly by the church, but who lived a life of holiness and illuminated the path for us through their lives, writings, and teachings. The Orthodox Church is expected to canonize them because popularly - the monastery, parish or whatever environment they lived in and often outside it - they are treated with the same reverence as saints when their name is mentioned.
But this does not mean that the Church will declare holiness, because this matter has several factors that must be taken into account. The announcement is not expected to be soon, as is often the case.
