The body of Christ is the medicine against sin, and His precious blood is the only way by which man can be freed from his guilt and the burden of his sin. The body of Christ became a treasure of divine perfection and was always pure from all sin, so He fulfilled all justice and preached the Father among men, while He was unknown to them at that time. He preached Him in word and deed. This body that we partake of was slaughtered on the cross and suffered torment when the hour of sacrifice approached, so He bathed in a sweat of blood. Judas betrayed Him, arrested Him, and led bound before the evildoers. He bore the good testimony before Pilate, as the Apostle Paul says. And because of His great testimony, He endured death, the death of the cross. This body that we partake of also endured flogging, and His hands and feet were nailed and His side was pierced with a spear. He suffered great pain at the time of the flogging and suffered the most severe torment when He was nailed to the cross. And this precious blood, the blood of Christ that we partake of when it was poured out from the wounds, the sun became dark, the earth shook and quaked, space was sanctified and the whole world was purified from the filth of sin.

The literal law, the law of the Old Testament, had no power to make those who kept it perfect, because it was an imperfect law that had to reveal the law of the spirit, the law of the New Testament, which is perfect and capable of leading man to perfection. The pain that Christians suffer and the tears they gain to regain the grace they lost because of sins after baptism are of no use if they do not run and hasten to the blood of the New Testament and to the body of Christ who was sacrificed on the cross. The mystery of thanksgiving is the mystery that frees before the justice of God those who have confessed their sins with a contrite heart before God. We are baptized once, but we receive communion repeatedly, because as human beings we sin, and in order to be rid of our sins it is necessary to hasten to repentance and to struggle and struggle against sin, and in order to gain victory we must receive the body and blood of Christ, which constitute the medicine for the healing of human evils.
