From the cross of His indescribable sufferings - as if it were a pulpit - our Redeemer Christ spoke His seven last words: words of tenderness and love, words of forgiveness and peace, words of a rejected and humiliated man, but words of authority and confidence. We want to gather around this pulpit during the days of Lent and Holy Week to listen to the words of our Savior as He died for us, as the Church has sat beneath the cross since the day of His death, listening attentively to those seven words and receiving this precious treasure to nourish her children throughout the generations.
