أحبّت ثيودورة المسيح منذ وقت مبكّر من حياتها. وإذ لم تشأ أن تعطي ذاتها لمباهج الحياة الدنيا انضمت إلى أحد أديرة الشركة. تزيّنت باللطف والصبر والدعة وسعت إلى اقتناء كل فضيلة، سالكة في طاعة كاملة لرئيسها، عالمة أن الطاعة هي الفضيلة الوحيدة التي بها تنزرع الفضائل الباقية وتنحفظ، وطاعتها امتدَّت لأخواتها أيضاً.
حتّى في موتها حفظت الطاعة فإن الرئيسة، بعد سنين من رقاد ثيودورة، انضمت هي أيضاً إلى رهط الأبرار في السماء. فلما حملوها إلى المدفن، الذي شاء التدبير الإلهي أن يضمَّ عظام ثيودورة أيضاً، إذا بالعظام تتحرك من ذاتها، أمام عيون الحاضرين لتعطي مكاناً لجسد رئيسة الدير.
هذا وإنَّ عجائب جمّة جرت برفاة القديسة ثيودورة فخرجت الشياطين من الممسوسين واستردّ العميان البصر واستعاد العديد من المرضى العافية.
