The aim of studying this material is:
- To learn about the Orthodox doctrines, that is, the true truths of the Christian faith preached by the apostles, taught by the fathers, and lived by the Church of Christ, and thus to help achieve the goal of proclaiming the Gospel, which is to attain the living faith that leads to salvation and deification, that is, a life of communion with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- Comparing some specific points in the teaching of the Catholic and Protestant churches with the teaching of the Orthodox Church, so that the theology of the fathers received from the apostles becomes clearer, and the student becomes more prepared to bear witness to the true faith and defend it with conviction and sincerity.
