مقدمة: لمحة تاريخية
عندما يعرّف الأنطاكيون بكنيستهم تجدهم يذكرون ذلك المقطع من سفر أعمال الرسل الذي ترد فيه الآية القائلة “وفي أنطاكية دعي التلاميذ مسيحيين أولاً” (أع 11: 26). فأبناء أنطاكية يفخرون بهذه الكنيسة التي انطلقت منها البعثات التبشيرية الأولى باتجاه روما وبلاد الهند. إنهم يفخرون بهذه الكنيسة التي نمت فيها، ومازالت تزدهر، واحدةُ من أعمق وأغنى الحركات الرهبانية الروحية والليتورجية واللاهوتية في تاريخ الكنيسة.
